I don't think it's a Left vs Right dichotomy. People will insist it is, but it's not. What if they release the "files" and they clearly state nothing at all happened? Will you just believe them? What if a specific republican investigation found it was all democrats that were involved? Or a specific democrat investigation found it was all republicans that were involved?
