AI Art Seething General

Why do these people care so much about style imitation?
Because it's one of these fake objective points. If you say 'this is copying ______'s style' and it looks even remotely similar then the average retard will nod and agree. They will just agree that yea it is copying because it vaguely looks similar. They will take this incredibly subjective opinion and repeat it as if it is a hard objectively true fact.

Combine that with the autistic parasocial relationship. Wanting to whiteknight and be noticed by your idol and thanked for bringing something to their attention. Wanting them to notice you and in a positive light. The same reason why retards will spend hours upon hours of their own time to moderate a twitch or discord or subreddit or whatever, all unpaid just for the benefit of someone who does not care about you as a person. They will just do that because they want to be noticed and thanked by their idol. Same shit.

Then on the other side of the coin you have to remember that the people seeing these posts are seeing them from hentai artists. If you're on twitter and following these types of people you are not there to think. The only thing you will be thinking about is how much you want to suck on the tits. None of these 'you're copying _____'s style' ever put an image from the person side by side with the AI because it would be blatantly obvious and the people seeing these posts aren't going to go and check for themselves. They're going to see it and go yea it's probably true before scrolling back to the porn they are looking for.

What bothers me most about these tards is how they’ll scrutinise and grief their OWN for using AI. Someone that actually knows how to draw and create and they cannot COMPREHEND why:mad: WHY :twisted:WHY:c
Like they’ve lost a comrade in ‘nam.
Like that artist was anyhow a part of their grand crusade, of their tribe against AI just by sharing the hobby. Nevermind that the community is a self-hating cesspool now rampant with AI witch-hunts, where they eat their own and wonder why they’re not winning.

This AI art thing should honestly serve as a wake-up call to artists. Their art circles just don't want to accept it, but AI tends to copy anime, and hyper/semi realistic styles more.

These artists' problem is, they constantly copy some famous artist's rendering and art style to the point where one cannot be told from the other properly. I've been scrolling through TikTok and I have seen a person comment that so many artists online tend to copy styles, so they don't truly develop a style and simply end up with a mediocre duplicate. These styles work best with cute, big-eyed anime girls, which, in turn, is one of the most-emulated styles by the AI. Since AI learns from what is constantly visible, I don't think we need any explanation for this.

In short, AI is weeding out the weak. It's weeding out those who cannot adjust to the changing times and systems. Charles Darwin was right.
Indeed it should. At the very fucking least it should tell them to be "nicer" to their clients.
>art is a luxury
>artists don't owe you anything
>my time is valuable

Yeah nigga a can of pepsi is a luxury as well but I'd ask some questions if it was being sold at ten times the price.
It's just entitlement and nothing else. Xitter artists think too highly of themselves and don't realise that the market of the services they provide is oversaturated as fuck.
If they're some big name truly unique artist then sure they can charge fuck you money and people will still pay for it but it's insane to me to click on some random with 400 followers and see them ask hundreds of dollars for dime a dozen generic sloppily drawn shit. Bonus points if they have some esoteric limits to what they won't draw or from whom they won't take commissions.
A computer is a luxury. A car is a luxury. We, technically, have means to work through more traditional means OR said means may be given to us through our job (supplied to us by our company I mean). Yet we still like our computers, our cars, etc.

But correct, it's entitlement of dipshits. And she's just a Sonic/Mobian artist, that's all. Why should one charge this much, and for such a shitty fucking attitude? "Keep scrolling please, don't ask for questions! heart xoxo". Fuck you, the world wasn't ever nice, why should it cater to you?

It may seem like I wanted to ask for something and that's why I'm jilted, that's not the case - I'm just baffled, honestly. She doesn't seem to make smut, and honestly I don't care - because I'm not into art commissions & the Sonic style isn't appealing to me.

That's a good point. I would say the "Am I a good boy/girl?" (the parasocial relationship, that is) and the fact the "population" is there just to look at things and get angry is pathetic. I don't know what's worse.

A lot of these people severely underestimate the leverage they have in the market. Ironically, they project that on to entities they dislike by claiming these companies are one bad year from collapsing, which might be true for any startups, but it will take years to chip down OpenAI at this rate.

Even ignoring AI, the art market is competing against other artists, especially artists who are not in solidarity with them. The art market can be driven to be cheaper because it's highly competitive. It might not seem so because artists are not often outwardly adversarial to each other, but for all the talk of style, personality, and soul, it's difficult to retain clients unless you establish a close relationship with them as a patron, all it takes is one bad day from client with a bad temperament and they'll lose that revenue source. There are plenty of artists in the pool that they can go to.

The demand for art from an individual tends to be highly elastic, as much as people want to see artists paid, people clearly have a low limit as to how much they can charge for digital art. And more importantly, at a certain price point, it's just cheaper to use the money for training and supplies to do it yourself. Something that AI helped in substantially lowering.

I don't commission art online, because I don't know what purpose it would serve and don't need constant validation from trying to popularize some insipid OC, but part of the reason I never would is due to all the horror stories I've heard.

Pay someone a hundred bucks to draw something and get constant excuses, "oh I'm in and out of the hospital for mental health reasons," "but I am le tired," if you're not just ghosted outright.

Why the hell would you risk dealing with an asshole when you can get AI to do it for free, instantly, and probably higher quality?

All these people saying "down with AI art, I support real artists," I feel like all it would take is one or two terrible experiences for them to flip.

99% of anti-ai seething just boils down into "i expect a full time income for my hobby, and I expect YOU to provide it" and ai gets in the way of that. these freaks deserve everything that happens to them.

Same here, it makes no sense. I would say it's just people who are terminally online, or some who are, being protective over their hobby.

Sounds a lot like "I expect external validation for a weird identity I chose for myself, and I expect YOU to provide it."

The truth is, life isn't fair. I understand art, creating, and experimenting with what you can use to create (like AI, but some people like these artists are so closed-minded), are wonderful parts of being a human, but these things don't sell unless you attract an audience of super-duper rich people who autistically collect paintings (how they don't go broke, I don't know, because if I were a billionaire, I'd shut the fuck up and just view the pretty pictures and only take photos if I like), if you have a stable job and the art is a side hustle (I've only heard of fursuiters being in STEM, not the artists so far - I know a lot of the artists are trying to make it in art school, though, so, sucks to be them 😂), or if you are a trust fund kid and your art catches the eye of multiple individuals (can't have proper income if no one is interested in the art, of course).

I believe art is for everyone and it shouldn't be restricted to those who have more in life, but it doesn't necessarily keep society running, unlike engineering, finance, tech, defense, politics, education, architecture, and medicine, which us why it doesn't really get a lot of pay. I think that's fair game because there will always be priorities and the proper compensation.

So, what kind of compensation am I gonna give to an individual who would draw scat porn of a 6'2 muscular tranny anthropomorphic wolf OC, an image the clients would most likely get tired of?

I bet most celebrities with this kind of social media retard tending their reputation online think these people are utterly fucking annoying retards but also realize anyone this obsessed with them would turn into a deranged stalker if they completely spurned them.

So they let these utter spergs run some meaningless Discord and maybe, at best, throw them a crumb from time to time

All while they will tell you that the point of creating art is just to express yourself and all that shit. They'll tell you that the purpose of art is just the human desire to create, then in the same breath tell you that only they are worthy of attention and that somehow someone else posting things can somehow diminish their desire to create, as in the desire is not creation but internet likes. It's just more proof that someone like justinrpg is one of the truest artists online, someone that creates not for attention but for the simple enjoyment of creation.

I mean one of the guys was literally complaining that despite repeatedly commenting on the 'victim's' posts that he still didn't get a response. I think a few other of these posts have had similar where they tell on the AI person repeatedly and still do not get a response because half of these artists don't give a shit and spamming them to get no reply should tell you that. Or in this specific case that even the artist knows that the guy isn't even close to 'stealing' his 'style'.
