Going on a tangent too but it's completely normal to want to be attracted to your partner and for them to not go insane, shave their head and cover themselves in ugly tattoos. Ian kinda did the same, he had just started growing into his looks, attracting more fangirls and then got the pedo stache and then greasy mullet. I'd be embarrassed if my boyfriend grew an ugly, misshapen mullet, tattooed himself like a clown and stopped showering, just like he'd be embarrassed if i shaved my head and did the same with random ass tattoos. Shit like that is kinda common in bigger cities. Basic ass barbers/sylists, but they make it this whole big experience. Like they'll set up the waiting area like a nightclub almost, and offer you a drink (glass of wine, mixed drink, weird Whole Foods-like organic soda), leather barber chairs, etc. Then charge you a lot because because of that experience. I remember once I just moved to a bigger city, hair started looking like shit. Passed by a barber shop on the way home, looked like a little, nothing fancy place. Went inside, there was modern art on the wall, and house music, the barber offered me my choice of juice or wine. Long story short, $50 for a "just trim the dead ends off" haircut.
