Inspired by a lolcow.farm thread, it was in /ot/.

You know the games I'm talking about. Dress-up games, Bejeweled, that kind of stuff. Stuff that's targeted towards or typically associated with a female userbase.

Post your faves, least faves. Ones that are good time killers or ones that are so horribly bad that they fascinate you here. I know I've seen more than a few games that have models that pierce your soul with their horrible Hartley Hooligan-esque eyes.

I love character creation in video games and choosing different outfits in GTAV but have never wanted to do doll dress up.

A couple of 'girly' apps I've used are the popular Neko Atsume and Spoon Pet Collector but after the initial 'awww' moment, it becomes a determined, boring grind to collect them all then delete the app.

The ultimate girly game... Tampon Run

Where would something like Words With Friends fall? My ex- thinks Vidya is a dumb way to spend your time generally but also seems to have something like three or four Words With Friends games going constantly. There are also people who now refuse to play with her, since she's apparently a bit on the competitive side.

I'm obsessed with Animal Crossing. It's a popular series with guys, too. The game is all about befriending your animal neighbors, decorating your town and your house, dressing up, and enjoying a cute, relaxing life. You play in real time. There are fun events happening all year, such as holidays, birthday parties, fireworks shows in the summer, and fishing tournaments. I have 1 copy of Wild World, 3 copies of New Leaf (two I play regularly and one is a cycling town that isn't used much), and 1 copy of Happy Home Designer. I have 7 amiibo figures (Kapp'n, summer Isabelle, winter Isabelle, Timmy & Tommy, Celeste, Reese, and Cyrus). And I have all 456 amiibo cards (including the 6 European Sanrio cards).

I don't really play traditionally "girly" games, but I absolutely love making and getting mods for games like Fallout so I can have pretty hair and rockabilly dresses.

This is pretty much the only reason I play most RPGs on PC. For mods so I can be the prettiest. I have no shame over it. My characters are always pretty girls. Except for my Dark Souls. She's a grizzled older lady knight who has had enough of everyone's undead shit.

I'm inclined to think the Sims is quite girly, though. I used to spend hours playing 2 and 3 and have sunk a good chunk into 4 but 4 really is the dumbed down version of 3. If they just took the quickness of the load times and graphics of 4 and smooshed it into 3's mechanics and customisation, it'd be a perfect game imo.

I tend to go more for normies or at least not beauty queen standard, but yeah the mods make the games so much nicer and easier to make a character you're happy with. Idk who devs consult when coming up with hairstyles for character creators, but they clearly have never seen a real living person with hair before or the people they have seen have the worst haircuts/rat nests imaginable. (I also like making handsome grizzled men, but there's so little mods for them that aren't just hipster clothes that it's hard.)

Sims is definitely considered a girly game.

I haven't played much past Sims 2, since they made it horrible to customize things for. (In 2 we had literal walking blob monsters as options, it was great and the community was very creative.)

There is literally nothing wrong with being a casual.

I'll see about that. But an admin like @Null would have to pull some fuckery with the dates in order to keep my post as the OP, since that thread dates back to 2015.

Lol you're falling for this troll? You're nowhere near new enough to have any excuse.

Sorry for double posting.

I always make my characters in RPGs I play with my husband girls and spend a bunch of time changing their clothes and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time making my XBox Live avatar cute. When I get my hair cut or colored, I change her hair, too.

Sims 2 was definitely the best one in the series, it went downhill after that.
That game had so many expansions, and I had them all. Included the Ikea one
I regret selling them but also not

I stopped playing The Sims 2 because I couldn't get my Sims to woohoo. All my friends had multigenerational families of Sims and I couldn't get my one married couple to reproduce, so I lost interest.

Does Pom Gets Wifi count as a "girly" game? It's such a ridiculously stupid premise and yet... I can't stop playing.

That and the other game I really enjoy playing that I guess could be considered "girly" is Robot Unicorn Attack, although to be fair most of the LP videos I've seen for that one were guys playing.
