Been binge watching ruben sim and a bit of schlep and I'm just beyond MATI with this shit. This shit is ran by insidious demons walking around in human skin and I hope they receive everything they deserve in this life and the next.

I love this statement. I really do. Keep digging your own grave, Roblox. You won’t be able to save yourself when it comes crashing down, no matter what you say.
 
This is gonna sound late but here's a very basic summary for tourists:
1. Schlep got many Roblox paedophiles arrested, what he's doing isn't entrapment.
2. Roblox banned him and claimed he was a vigilante, while he does not fit that word in any definition.
3. Roblox allowed erotic sexual roleplay games to stay up for years while a "free schlep" game was banned almost instantly and any mention of free Schlep in your profile will get you banned.
4. Schlep was a victim of online grooming (early porn introduction, EPI)
5. Roblox moderation is a joke. You can bypass their bots with very easy methods like overlaying two images to form one, often offensive image. You can also make the image opaque and overlay it on top of a black canvas.
6. There are player-made accessories in the game such as the paedophile (MAP) pride flag that you can get.
7. The safety whatever guy in charge seems to frequent condo games, where adults and minors do ERP. Chances are he's a paedophile too.
8. Over 50% of Roblox users are under the age of 12.
9. Roblox wants to add a dating feature. It was originally for ID verified people above the age of 17. They wanted to collect the ID of 17-year-olds for God knows what. Is there any reason for a children's game to have dating in it?

It all points to Roblox being a game made by paedophiles, to protect paedophiles and allow them access to children. I hope this fiasco blows up like Stop Killing Games.

Also, Roblox has a ToS rule where they can punish an experience if they deem its community to be toxic. Despite countless social games attracting ERPers like flies to shit, Roblox consistently refuses to apply that part of the ToS to said social games. Basically the only two things that ever make Roblox do jack shit are either the full fucking force of the justice system, or their stock prices plummeting. Scum. Scum.
 
Don't ever forget what Roblox's safety moderation team does in practice is actually worse than negligent, because the few times they remove NSFW content, they leave the user posting it unbanned, and also when a user has a NSFW username, they remove the name but don't ban the user, thus actually covering up evidence of the problem without solving it. If they just did literally nothing at all it would actually be less harmful than what they do.

The absolutely most charitable interpretation of their actions is that they're totally blind and incompetent and also fundamentally in denial that the predator problem is even happening, and so they're more interested in preventing information about it from leaking to the press since in their view it's fake news. But honestly that's really farfetched if you ask me, I think to some extent they have to be deliberately covering up the problem which means either they want to protect the profits they make from it or their staff contains predators who are harboring fellow predators. Or both of those things, which I think is the most likely scenario.

In literally any scenario you look at this situation, the company is unquestionably responsible and willfully and proactively contributing to the grooming of minors.
Either
1. They are so incredibly negligent they can't see the issue perhaps because their entire moderation system is controlled by one jeet overseas, in which case they are still actively worsening the problem by fighting against community-based moderation, basically as a critical misunderstanding.
2. They are trying to prevent the media from discovering the obvious problem so they can keep profiting from gooners.
3. They are protecting pedophiles because they are pedophiles.

There is no version of this where you can square their actions and the circumstances without culpability on their part. The only way Roblox is in the right is if the evidence we see with our very eyes disappears and never existed. Their official line is "it's not happening, therefore we don't have to do anything, the platform is safe, therefore we are justified in stopping people from protecting the platform." BUT IT IS HAPPENING. And at this point it's undeniable to anyone who looks anywhere except an official Roblox press release. They can't suppress the story anymore I don't think. So it's tough to figure what their strategy here really is. Maybe they think they're too big to fail no matter how many lawsuits hit them.

Tell it to your parents, to your siblings, to your friends, to your neighbors, to your coworkers, to any person you can get a hold of outside the internet. Especially to people you know that have kids that play Roblox.

People don't often trust the news as much anymore, but they will be more open-eared if someone they trust tells them.

Speaking of news, if you decide to contact a news agency about Roblox's antics, avoid The New York Times. Roblox's CPO is in the Board of Directors, and NYT is influenced by Roblox.

I tried telling a few friends of mine who have kids to be mindful about Roblox, but they sadly seem apathetic and let their kids play all day, or mention how everywhere is dangerous and somehow roblox is "the safest option". Only my barber took me seriously, but his ex allows his son to play roblox all day and into the night. It's rather frustrating to see so many parents not really care as long they can treat it as a babysitting app
