Just about to post the claim about Mike's behaviour re clothes / medication. I know there's being upset but Jesus Christ withholding medication? Beggars belief.

Especially if you're already under intense scrutiny and currently dealing directly with cops and CPS types who are guaranteed to write lengthy affidavits about every single thing that happened in your interaction with them.

If you want a guaranteed way to lose your kids it isn't even being a psycho, it's not even pretending to cooperate.

The thing about agencies like these is they're frankly terrifying in the degree they can fuck with your life. It can take a lot to get on their radar, in this case a national scandal. But once you do, you're on their radar forever. Parents who actually love their kids, even if they're personally fuckups, and in most cases if you end up with an investigation you have fucked up, are generally desperate to keep these people happy.

But then people who torture their own kids for shits and giggles on the Internet are somewhere in the shit tier of parents.

Having a disability doesn't automatically make someone a bad parent. I'm more concerned about how confusing her story is of how she lost custody. I'm happy anyway. It's gotta be better than what those kids had before.

Wasn't implying having a MH problem automatically made someone a bad parent what I was saying is that I hope she is competent / healthy enough due to the massive stress she must be under because of the interest that's ongoing. I think it would knock a healthy person sideways let alone someone with MH problems.

It's kind of a given in these situations that both parents have issues. Seriously, the mom allowed this shit to go on until it completely blew up. Maybe she didn't know, but she should have.

Agencies like these are horrible to deal with and always deal with shit situations. Remember also that they generally have the choice of putting the kids with one of the parents or other relatives, or putting them in foster care, which is shit and is harming the kids. Quite often it's actually better to be with even a shitty parent than ripped away from your family entirely and sent to live with strangers. Some real shady characters end up being foster parents.

That's why I replied to another poster that I was surprised. Surely to God nobody can be that innately stupid as to mess with the authorities when your every action is under a microscope. I've obviously given this cretin more credit than he deserved and your last sentence should be drilled into my brain more so.

It makes me sad to think about how bad these shitty parents childhoods must have been to think that children screaming and crying every single night due to your constant barking and 'discipline' is a normal experience. So normal that you think it's chill to share it online.

It makes me sadder to think they had enough views and subs to actually make money on this disgusting display. Humans are fucked and I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

I wonder how people can be so bitter.

You know that's probably why they were so horrible to their kids; they had shit childhoods themselves. It's just a cycle repeating itself.
About a week or so ago, someone from Mike's family was posting here, and he more or less confirmed this. The guy also mentioned that Mike molested his little sister.

The mum only found out in August 2016 re the videos and immediately set about alerting the authorities "Maryland (where the Martins live) at that time declared it Corporal Punishment to physically, mentally, and emotionally abuse your kids." https://nickmonroestuff.wordpress.com/blog/

Obviously it's her word against his atm but to be honest after seeing his videos (apologies included), hearing of his latest behaviour / actions I would like to give the mum the benefit of the doubt unless it is proven differently. I won't be holding my breath him proving me wrong.

Apparently they got emergency custody and picked the kids up with the police. Cody told the mum he hated her and that Mike and Heather told him she 'threw him away because she didn't love them anymore'.

If true this will go over a storm in family court. Judges usually have a huge hate boner for parental alienation.

Based on what has been posted in this thread about Mike's childhood it doesn't really surprise me.

There are a lot of parents who had constant abuse in their families growing up that think, "well when I was growing up my dad would beat us if my room didn't pass his rigorous inspection and my mom was a raging alcoholic, as long as im not that and im fun with my kids i must be doing alright"

There is no doubt in my mind that Mike used the amount of videogames and the big house as a justification that he was a good dad, because all too often people like this have the mentality of "well you have everything you could possibly wish for, you know how much more you have than I ever did you ungrateful brats!"

This video was supposed to be Cody's vlog. It's not from DO5's channel so i'm not sure if the original title was different, but if it was....it's a shitty way to prove there's no abuse in the house. The boys get into a fight downstairs and Mike comes down to regulate on them. In the process, one of the boys walks up stairs and makes the dog yelp. Mike shows more concern for the dog than the well being of the kids. As per usual.

A dog can fight back.

Jake then smacks Alex in the head, makes him cry, and after that he climbs on the kitchen counter and crouches on top of the refrigerator like Gollum while Mike screams at him and also climbs up on the counter armed with nunchucks.

Jesus Christ, Jake's a creepy little weirdo.

I only got a little way into the video and stopped, I can't stand to hear Mike's voice to the point it's like nails down a blackboard to me now.

The volume of even talking in that house let alone when the "parents" start yelling would drive me insane. He claims he's partially deaf, no idea if that's true or not, so that might explain the decibels - I tend to think it's because he's just a loud mouthed gobshite.

The laugh Mike does after he remembers he's being filmed is CHILLING. That high pitched giggle will haunt my dreams!

The first part of the video with only Cody is cute but really difficult to enjoy because it's interspersed with him and his siblings being yelled at and/or yelling at each other. :heart-empty:
