Careercow Robert Chipman / Bob / Moviebob / "Movieblob" - Middle-Aged Consoomer, CWC with a Thesaurus, Ardent Male Feminist and Superior Futurist, the Twice-Fired, the Mario-Worshipper, publicly dismantled by Hot Dog Girl, now a diabetic

How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Fittingly enough, James Gunn, the guy who made both Guardians movies, wrote on his Facebook about how he dealt with his own isolation and unpopularity growing up through movies and pop culture like Bob did. The difference is that James Gunn is a talented, ambitious, wildly successful writer/director who got to where he is by being personable and hard-working, while that same background could just as easily belong to a bitter, untalented, fiercely unlikeable dumbass like Bob.
The problem is Bob has straight up said that any movie he makes would be so full of progressive bullshit and his own " kill all blue collar working people for superior future" bile that nobody but a very small audience would ever watch them and any studio he works for would suffer horrible financial losses because of it.

Let us be realistic: Bob's greatest "directorial" achivement was his Game Overeater series and its finale where he played himself having a talk with Captain N while beating up an ape while "You've got the touch" played.

This guy has less movie making experience than Doug Walker. To Boldly Flee was a better made and directed "thing" than any of the shit he did, to show off how he is a superior nerd than others.

No study in the world, not even Pure Flix or The Asylum would hire THIS guy to make a movie. Tommy Wisseau makes for a better director (and entertainer) than Moviebob.

Eh, as a writer Bob's not much worse than the mouthbreathers doing Marvel's comics right now. He sucks at every other part of filmmaking but I feel like he could shit out a reasonably solid story if someone paid him. The problem is his writing is still balls because his favorite theme is naked classism. Just look at his asinine Terminator concept. Narratively it's not the worst but it's still a mean, petty direction to take the franchise.

I once read a couple of "pitches" he had for franchises into movies.
He wanted to turn the carebears into an allegory for religion vs atheism, by making the Carebears kill god, whiel also fighting off Professor Coldheart, who was turned into a Spiderman villain.

I found this one tweet pitch of his, and it might just be one of the saddest before and after comparions ever, cause you know nu-Bob would go "Small town? Let them burn for voting for Trump!" Granted, it's still a godawful idea, but it's one that doesn't make us question his emotional health as much.

For me the worst pitch was his idea about a fixed Escape from wherever movie. It boiled down to coastal cities are utopian middle America sucks and Snake is sent in middle America. It ignored the fact that in the Escape movies pretty much everywhere sucks in some way.In his pitch the coastal cities have only some faults so he basically went against the basic premise that in the Escape movies the world has gone to shit in some bit way everywhere.

I'll be fair and say that this is a half-baked concept for a Pixar short.

He didn't just go against the basic premise, he flat out ignored it. The entire point behind the Escape movies is New York and LA--two of his darling centers for progress and enlightenment--are such violent dirty shitholes the government decides it's better off to just turn them into giant prisons. The movies or at least just the first one are scathing critiques of the urban culture Bob lionizes.

How does this guy manage to take an election which affects him not at all, which he could not vote in, and about which he understands very little, and still be a gloating asshole about it?
Of course it affects him, France will build the one world government if America refused to!
