He was smart enough to "not need a god" but there sure are a lot of stupid people who are worse off without one to provide morals. He was a secular humanist primarily and thought he was unshackling people to intellectual freedom and mutual understanding. Turns out selfish, lazy hedonism is what usually replaces God and there's a reason why religions teach chastity and continence.

Some people, including myself, have accused Dawkins of being a fairweather enemy, because he's realized belatedly that transgenderism and islam are far greater threats to the things he loves than Christianity is, and seems to be coming to terms with the fact that Christianity probably formed a bulwark to prevent the degenerate elements of society from mucking everything up.

But on the other hand, if he did have some kind of spiritual awakening and renounce his atheism not too long before his death...

He has made solemn oaths that his friends all vehemently bully him if he starts having a deathbed conversion so he remains his whole life an atheist. We'll see how that one goes.

Assassination was always a more fitting term. Killing doesn't even sound right in that context anyways. It's an informal word that should be replaced by murder if the person involved isn't someone in an important position.

The whole wikipedia arc has felt like a child refusing to eat the vegetables and does everything in its power to no eat them from outright refusing to give a small bite to finally eating the damn thing after 3 hours of scolding.

It was supposed to be "shovel dog" but autocorrect fucked me over again. Please, for all that's good and holy, you don't want to see a dog beaten to death with a shovel. It was a 4chan/8chan gore spam and I only save it for the very worst offenders who aren't impressed with gross fetish material. I have only resorted to shovel dog once, usually goatse, tubgirl, or meatspin gets the job done.
