I heard that they also barely help people out, despite being advertised as a hub of knowledge related to Doom modding. Not sure if that's 100 % true, just heard it from people.GZDoom discord admins are pedos. Big shocker.
This applies to many corners of the modern day internet it seems. people tend to give joke answers, or never give follow up answers/replies to close a problem with a solution. You'd think that the internet would be a hub of knowledge, but it seems it is a cycle of biased knowledge, slop wikipedia articles, or slop reddit/forum threads for a problem that is never solved. The average person will tend to source and get most information from a wiki. That unfortunately is hard to change, as a centralized website for knowledge on a certain topic can be invaluable.I heard that they also barely help people out, despite being advertised as a hub of knowledge related to Doom modding. Snowy environments are nothing new or special, as the default Doom color palette easily supports gray and white textures. If you look at Doomer Boards projects for example, you'll find quite a few Christmas and snow themes.PS: Huh, I don't think I've ever seen a snowy environment in Doom... Something I'd expect in Hexen or maybe even DN3D, but not Doom.
I'll have to take a look. I have not played Doom mods (other than the moonman one) at all before the KF2 project... Looks like I've been missing out.Snowy environments are nothing new or special, as the default Doom color palette easily supports gray and white textures. Or even the Russian community projects Whitemare 1 and 2. Those are mostly winter themed.Snowy environments are nothing new or special, as the default Doom color palette easily supports gray and white textures. Dark7. Play that instead, it has some really good music too. Plus Dark7 mission pack.PS: Huh, I don't think I've ever seen a snowy environment in Doom... Something I'd expect in Hexen or maybe even DN3D, but not Doom.

If I'm remembering right, part of the reason is that the engine insists on bleeding edge renderers but can only run off of one core. The internals of DECORATE are also a Frankensteined pastiche of Build, Quake, and basically all DOOM engine variants with the structures hastily taped on top of the OG's assembly. It's a bit of a fucking mess to put it mildly and the primary maintainers of the engine turn spastic at the mere suggestion of optimizing for modern hardware. That's impressive, really. Doom's data structures are so lean that the entirety of the level should fit inside the L3 cache of a modern CPU, and a modern GPU can draw 200 polygons in a billionth of a second. They must have really worked hard to come up with a way to represent a list of 200 sprites that would cause a modern machine to shit its pants.
Oh wow, now I know why Scuba Steve kept getting killed on TerryWads, a decade ago - from Aquarius' videos. Deservedly.Look at this brainwashed troon loving cocksucker:

By the way, isn't he Australian or something? What does he know about LAPD... like anything that isn't based on far left propaganda? I mean, i'm not the one to defend them either, but at least i don't blindly advocate for someone who e-begged 90k dollars out of the community's pockets, based on a sob story that as of today we still have zero evidence for, and the guy has also vanished with the money, without providing updates in like 2 years. Yeah, trust that fucking guy instead, just because he's "not white".
Haha, I forgot that even happened; Did las Rojas explain anything further, beyond the description of what happened to him and his mom?blindly advocate for someone who e-begged 90k dollars out of the community's pockets
I enjoyed CountryCideI think I'll make a quick list of horror/spooky wads I have played for Halloween for fun on here when sometime between now and when October begins.

CountryCide is pretty good and it's a prologue to a work-in progress mod called "Trenchfoot" which takes place in a Dieselpunk pseudo-warhammer world war 1 horror themed universe, it's in very early Alpha but still cool.I enjoyed CountryCide
So, the entire GZdoom team just walked off because Graf woke up to add untested LLM generated code into the project after being absent from things for a long period of time.

In the end it turns out it's not just trannies that are ruining game communities, it's shitty project heads that want to learn the mystic eastern way of making a server farm vibecode for you too, because programming is too hard and what the fuck is a GPL anyway right?
Seriously, how do you stay away from something that big for over a year and then come back out of nowhere to add code a LLM wrote without testing and expect no one to notice. Good god I hope AI server farms are among the first targets in the next world war.

I'm still sticking to LZDoom, thank you very much. I wouldn't touch any work from these trannies even with a 50-foot pole. But don't worry, the GZDoom trannies already have a solution, behold, the brand new source-port that's totally not a code coup, UZDoom!
https://github.com/UZDoom/UZDoom
And they are already tackling the most important issues that GZDoom has been dealing with for years now, performance improvements?, think better CHUD, we have to remove those evil deadnames from ancient code or else tranny genocide will happen.

The future of the Doom modscene is in great hands.
