Fallout series

Assuming you haven't fought with Benny Humbles You/Steals Your Stuff to make it only do one or the other, yes.
TTW is actually best balanced if you go to the Mojave before even finding Dad, though you lose several quests on that front if you do it early due to TTW forcing things up to The Waters of Life.
I tried that before, narrative wise it doesn't work since nobody accounts for you being missing for 3 years. Leaving things as they are after Project Purity assault makes sense, since next time you meet up with Brotherhood after getting kidnapped by the Enclave the dialogue they have fits with being gone for so long, they thought you were dead(but you were just dicking around in Mojave) and you can take your sweet time getting back to them and triggering "Take it Back". I don't like the mods that make your artificially weaker, the whole point of TTW is this power fantasy that you're The Lone Wanderer that made their way onto the West Coast with their shiny Fallout 3 gear that wasn't in New Vegas, it's pure fan fiction. New California takes your equipment away and spreads it to a random place depending on which ending you got, which is fair enough, but if I want to start as a level 1 weakling in Goodsprings I will just play New Vegas itself. To compensate for all the extra gear and levels you get at the start of the NV, I install Warzones mod to enable constant wars with various factions all thru out the map, making things a little more interesting

It's mostly lore friendly, it's usually factions that already have beef with one another and are close by to one another having a shootout, altho Enclave does come back in a couple of areas if you roleplay as an Enclave operative and add yourself to the Enclave faction so that they don't shoot at you.

In the wise words of Tyler, the Creator: "Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Modding Real Hahahaha Nigga Just Play The Game You Paid For Like Nigga Play Vanilla Haha"
Wise words indeed, that's why I also regularly play Fallout 3 and New Vegas on my 360, and will continue to do so for as long as that clunker will keep working.

That said, there are some mods that are genuine improvements, due to how rushed the game is. For example, Rex's scripts are a goddamn mess, just downloaded a mod that fixes them and adds new features, such as being able to give him a ranged sonic emitter attack like the dogs in Big MT use. I would have liked it if the mod went a step further and let you actually skip his main quest in Jacobstown so you could do surgery remotely in Big MT for a brand new set of brains, but I will take what I can find.

Speaking of unfinished content, I found a console command to let you turn in Clanden to the police during How Little We Know, which is fully implemented but not working due to a scripting oversight. Too lazy to make a mod to fix it, but here is the console command

Once you find the snuff tapes, type that into the console
While I don't have definitive proof, I am positive that Khans were supposed to have their own hitmen like NCR, Legion and Powder Gangers do. Khans are very unfinished, but if you have a negative reputation with them, sometimes they spawn thru out random parts of the wasteland, just like random ambush parties. Due to a bug in their scripting, they won't attack you however even if you're villified. When they spawn they're just like any other roaming NPC. On the other hand, once you reach negative Legion reputation on the Strip, usually by siding with House and going past the point of no return with other factions, the Legion spy will run up to you and initiate a conversation. Since he has no dialogue, all he has is the usual "What do you need?" and all you can say is "Goodbye", the New Vegas special. This is more noticeable if you have a mod that removes these gay junk barriers and have an open Strip like in the original pre-release footage, I am guessing that at low reputation the agent was either supposed to warn you that you made an enemy of Ceasar, just like he approaches you to give you Mark of Ceasar after killing Benny, or he would straight up try to kill you right there and then. Either way, this encounter is unfinished, just like the Khans hitmen.

Have you replaced your disk drive, or is it one of the later submodels that had ones that weren't utter shit?
My disk drive has been going strong since about 2008, when I got my second console after my first one got a RRoD. Only problem I have with it is that the drive gets "sticky" after a few years since the rubber belt that makes the drive pop out gets damaged or wears out. Not a huge pain in the ass, it will be a bigger problem if the laser reader or some other part of it starts dying out.

Speaking of things ending, I'm about to end my TTW character run today. I'm almost at my level cap(57/60) and I don't see a purpose in playing the game anymore when I reach it, my character has been as strong as he can possibly be and I have all the resources in the world. At this point this is just me playing for the hell of it. I've been getting back into minor modding, for example I made the Junk Rounds perk not useless(Made it so you get Primers out of Scrap Metal, Lead out of Tin Cans and Tin Plates, and Powders out of Sierra Madre Cloud Residue). I plan on doing more modding when I get to Fallout 4, maybe I will release some of these here. It all depends on if I am making a new esp or using one of my existing ones as a base, in the case of the latter there is a ton of dependencies, probably from mods you cannot easily access anymore since I started modding the game the moment it came out in 2015, and not really for public consumption. Been seeing a lot of mods come and go in that time, lately with Modding Haven being taken offline.

Anyway, I just want to say I am very happy with the build I got. Without going into too much detail, it's a combat/diplomacy boy hybrid build focusing on handguns and melee. I tried mixing tribal aesthetics with high tech, kind of like with Reavers from Fallout Tactics, and I ended up having most of my companions be some flavor of robot or cyborg, essentially becoming the new Mechanist. Combat wise my character is a beast in close combat, but where this build really shines in in diplomacy and leadership, meaning I rarely have to do anything myself since I can talk/barter my way out of nearly any situation or let my warband take care of it, that also includes taking perks like Animal Friend to eliminate many random encounters full stop. I am interested in how viable this build is in Fallout 4 since you can only make one robot companion at a time vs how Robco Certified mod works here, also Animal Friend is completely useless so that means no chance of eliminating combat encounters. Leadership will be a big part of my OW1 and upcoming OW2 playthru alongside Diplomacy, as these games do not have Power Armor in a traditional sense to tank hits, the meta there is for the player to be agile and bunny hop like you're playing a deathmatch lobby in Quake and both you and other NPCs dying about as easily as in that game too. Mixing Leadership/Diplomacy skills with small arms and melee weapons is going to be interesting and I foresee companions being a crutch at least in the early game, it's also more nuanced as I can only take 2 at a time but each one has a whole bounty of bonuses they apply to your own character as well as their own special abilities, meaning once again you have to play it smart instead of bringing along a whole crew to outnumber your enemy like in modded 3D games/Fallout 2 or Tactics. Leadership is also an actual skill in those games, which means there is dedicated build options and perks if I wanna go down that route, where as a mindless brute build would make the game much more difficult, altho OW2 did introduce somewhat limited advanced movement like sliding to the mix to help out with getting close to enemies. Closest Fallout has to that would be the Jetpack mod in Fallout 4 that lets you get a bead on enemies from above, the older games have nothing and you have to either use stealth or charge at them, likely with a suit of Power Armor.

Here is a screenshot of my crew:

Here is one of my character:

The lighting isn't good so you probably can't see the facepaint, good contrast with the Tribal Power Armor that mixes both primitive and technological aesthetics along with Welding Goggles so that he can do repairs on the robots even in the middle of nowhere or heat of battle. I might take better screenshots today.

fallout 4 prototype has been found, 1 month before final release

Not the mythical Fallout 3 prototype or the TGS 2010 build that discord trannies are hoarding, but it will do.
Does anyone know anything about that Far Harbor proto build? First time I heard that got leaked.

Edit:
I am looking for a couple of mods I can't seem to find on Nexus anymore. One is a Lever Action Shotgun that had a patriotic US Flag paintjob, I am sure you found in the Atomic Wrangler. Another one is this Widowmaker Lever Rifle mod, the page on Nexus just brings this up

I have no clue what that means. This is what it looks like

If anyone knows where to download these now or has downloaded them, let me know. One more day goes by and I hate Nexus niggers that much more.

>Doing an NCR playthru
>Don't like it that you have to kill House to finish this route
>Install two mods, one that lets you persuade him to willingly side with NCR if your Barter is high enough for Diplomacy Boys, or one that has him accepting annexation if you blow up the Securitron Vault
>Have both enabled, depending on what I choose to do
>Turns out that this isn't an option, having both enabled breaks the game
>Convince House to work with NCR, Moore doesn't want to hear any of it and wants me to kill House anyways
>I have to choose which way I want to deal with House before I even start the game and have only one plugin enabled before I even reach this point in the story

You would think this incompatibility would be something the mod author advertises front and center, considering he is responsible for both mods, but I guess not. I have to look for troubleshooting tips in the mod's comment section to find that out, after the point of no return. Did I mention already I hate all Nexus niggers? At least I have both mods, so if this incompetent retard decides to take them down due to "cringe" I still have them on my hard drive.

Anyways, my cope here is that Moore doesn't want to take chances with a wild card whose robot forces can potentially slaughter her entire army at the Dam while Legion still breathes down their neck, especially after the 2.0 upgrades House has shown off(leading to his own demise down the line), and my character sees this as an opportunity to hijack his robot army for his own means. As you remember, I took over for the Mechanist using RobCo Certified mod and have been traveling around with robots ever since, that includes repairing the original Protectron that was killed by the AntAgonizer and even upgrading it. It doesn't get more Mechanist than taking control of an entire army of upgraded Securitrons, especially with a Big MT character who can upgrade them to MK3 and beyond down the line using Big Mountain tech. I guess I'm going for a middle road route between Yes Man and NCR this playthru, I am going to have to do a fresh player build and speedrun NCR questline after this is over to test if this House Alliance mod even works which is going to be a pain in the ass.

I've watched the first season of the show after not watching any TV except for 90s shows like Xena and Babylon 5, and it feels like someone returning to an abusive childhood home and remembering why they got the fuck out and moved a thousand miles away. The mystery box plot with 3-4 intertwining storylines that depend on huge coincidences to work, the fanservice that also mangles the canon, the carefully balanced diversity of races and genders in the cast (except for the villains and buffoons, who are always white men except for a few black women who are needed for a shocking twist), the short seasons and heavy use of filler to hit the target runtime.

Sorry to gripe here, i have nowhere else. Anyway, back to Xena, where Gabrielle has been annointed as a princess of the Amazons.

Never bet mod against the House.
Did I mention already I hate all Nexus niggers?
Don't we all? Seriously, fuck Nexus, hate that it's the go-to for modding.
Sorry to gripe here, i have nowhere else.
I feel that man, this site is pretty much one of the few places to shit talk things the wider internet seems to like.

Can't imagine anything interesting 1 month before release, maybe some minor things cut here and there but that's here.
