It's not just indies, it's all comics seems to have no or negative feelings towards. It's literally only the MCU movies and I don't see what he sees in them if he has disdain for what it's based on outside of being more material for the MCU to copy. Is it just the colors and explosions? I don't get what attracts him.
All the cool kids are reading image comics like saga now. Marvel movies are basic as fuck, no offence.

I wasn't talking about Marvel movies. I was talking about Bob seeming to dislike the books themselves but when it's a Marvel movie, he gets a massive erection even if he hates comics including Marvel's or doesn't care about them. I don't get why he has the fixation.
If you see any of his Marvel videos, the books are only brought up in the context of new movies can be made and he only uses shit he read on wikipedia.

What gives you the idea that he hates Marvel comics? I always assumed that the reason he has such a hard-on for the MCU is because he was such a huge fan of the source material as a kid.

He was showing hate for them back when Marvel Legacy was announced. Probably shouldn't use a strong word like hate since it's more indifference at what usually happens over there, it doesn't look like he even knows of the Entertainment/Studios split. His thing with Legacy is he didn't like the idea of characters people gave a damn about returning and was only concerned for what this could mean for the MCU. Beyond that he complains about headlines of fans being angry at Marvel for replacing basically all their characters which you'd think he'd sympathize with considering he wets himself at seeing those same characters on the big screen.
I don't know if he's a fan of source material as a kid, he's never talked about owning any comics. I can tell you he totally doesn't care about brands outside Marvel like his comments on "nobody cares" about the New Gods which isn't something you'd usually hear from someone who's read some DC.

My best bet is that like DC, his main exposure to Marvel stuff was the cartoons of yesteryear, like Spidey and his Amazing Friends, The Fantastic Four cartoons from the 60s and 90s, and so on. I am supremely skeptical of him ever picking up a comic book, since he's very surface level. He was dumb enough to think that the Super Mario cartoon was quality cartoon time.

Bob actually has read comic books and commented on them in his videos. When he was white-knighting Bioware over Mass Effect's ending, he compared the outrage to some shitty Green Lantern arc and said the comic's fans handled it much more gracefully.
