For what? If you just want to play GTA VI, buy a used Xbox Series S. They go for really cheap now, as long as you're fine with 1080p 30fps I assume. I'd assume the Series X would be cheaper than the PS5 for the sole reason that Xbox is in the shitter now.Should I just buy a used ps5 rn before they go up in price next year when it releases? I was going to wait until the PS6 but I feel that is still a ways away.
Im thinking abt getting a pro but not before a new 75 inch tv and game chair. Ironically I bought a ps5 just for gta around 2023.....sucks rebirth ruined my funFor what? Happy 24th anniversaryView attachment 8064861 to gta iii.
Lot of GTA birthdays this month.View attachment 8076483
Tomorrow it'll be the 21st anniversary of GTA San Andreas, and a little birdie told me that a certain community fixes mod will be getting a massive update commemorating the fact as well.
No I'd rather stick with PlayStation. But the truth is I don't even want a ps5 because it looks like it sucks. But I know I'll want to play the game on launch day.For what? Any hints? I wouldn't mind if it was more fixes for physics breaking at 30+ FPS.View attachment 8076483

Wait for Black Friday and grab a bundle there. You can even try grabbing the pro version of there's a good sale on it. If you're buying used, atleast get a warrant or something.Should I just buy a used ps5 rn before they go up in price next year when it releases? "The cuts are everywhere. It doesn't feel like we are pushing any boundaries now. Why bother? I really, really do not want to change this stuff. It feels SO wrong at the behest of psychotic, mormon [sic], capitalist retailers.” - Sam Houser
“This is WAY, WAY more than I expected. Not only is it insane to edit comedy like this - look at movies and everything else - to do so is going to be a lot of work and will screw with things…
"Is this really as far as we can push it? I just cannot believe that. Changing this stuff will absolutely have a time impact. Let me know if this is really the final position.”
I honestly don't care about the ps5 pro. I don't even care about the ps5 in general I just want to play GTA 6.Wait for Black Friday and grab a bundle there. You can even try grabbing the pro version of there's a good sale on it. If you're buying used, atleast get a warrant or something.
Now that I think about it, this holiday season would have been absolutely crazy if GTA 6 has stuck to its release date. Crazy stuff I tell ya. Especially with Xbox now being effectively dead.
Okay then just wait for the holiday season to get a good price on the console before it gets any higher next year. Maybe take into consideration the size of the storage because GTA 6 will be pretty beefy in its size for sure.I honestly don't care about the ps5 pro. I don't even care about the ps5 in general I just want to play GTA 6.
I can't really see why since at this point PS and Xbox are two sides of the same shitty coin, but your best bet with a PS5 is hunting down a used one or getting one new on Black Friday before Sony inevitably price gouges even more, because they've already raised the price once worldwide. No I'd rather stick with PlayStation.
They have to fit it in Blu-rays since they're gonna go physical. I can only see them doing 2 discs max (they did the same with GTA V on 360 and RDR2), so that's around 250GB since an average BD-XL disc is 125gb. PS5s store around 800gb at the very minimum, so I think it's fine.Maybe take into consideration the size of the storage because GTA 6 will be pretty beefy in its size for sure.
Double-dipping + holdover from the 2000s. The 3D GTA games focused on PS2 first, then Xbox and PC later, usually due to how different the platforms were at the time. You could see it in graphical comparisons, PS2 had the better post-processing effects, Xbox & PC was better in raw performance, and they had separate dev teams for ports. Then after V released, they realized that PC players were buying consoles specifically for GTA games, which means double sales from the people who buy on console first, than PC later. It's why V has been rereleased so often, they start off with PS3/360 in 2013, then PS4/One in 2014, then PC in 2015. RDR2s PC port is similar, with them releasing it 1 year after the console versions in 2019. I'm hopeful that they release the PC port alongside the inevitable PS6 remaster, but chances are they're gonna do the same thing with V or even V's "expanded and enhanced" release where it's a year after the console remasters. It honestly makes me kind of mad that even I'm technically falling for it by going to buy VI and playing it on a borrowed PS5.What's the official excuse for the PC versions coming out years later?
What is post-processing?PS2 had the better post-processing effects,
To add, GTA IV had a peculiar launch. That was the first GTA to release multi-platform for Sony and Microsoft consoles. However, MS reportedly paid R* $50 million for an exclusivity deal for its DLCs.Then after V released, they realized that PC players were buying consoles specifically for GTA games, which means double sales from the people who buy on console first, than PC later.
Also, Sony was concerned about the upcoming Xbox console so they made a timed exclusivity deal with R* to release the trilogy only for the PS2. I wonder if that deal also extended to the Stories games for PlayStation 2 and Portable. I think the graphical horsepower from those systems was just incidental. The 3D GTA games focused on PS2 first, then Xbox and PC later, usually due to how different the platforms were at the time.
Sony themselves sell refurbished PS5's for like 400 bucks. No I'd rather stick with PlayStation. But the truth is I don't even want a ps5 because it looks like it sucks. But I know I'll want to play the game on launch day.
I saw a PS4 slim for 425 dollars at a used game store today in a fair condition. Do you think that would be a fair choice?Sony themselves sell refurbished PS5's for like 400 bucks.
I know that doesn't sound that great, but from my experience the dipshits who are reselling their PS5's usually have treated them like fucking shit and caked the controllers in flaming hot cheeto dust. They usually also try to fuck you on shipping charge.
Sony ships the systems for free and backs them up with a 12 month warranty. So I mean, I'd keep a look out for something cheaper but like if you find nothing a month before release you could always go that route.
That's like 75 dollars off, which doesn't seem worth it to jump in this early to me, but if you really want it it's not like the worst deal.I saw a PS4 slim for 425 dollars at a used game store today in a fair condition. Do you think that would be a fair choice?
