What are you playing right now?

Mordheim: City of the Damned. It's a pretty faithful adaptation of an old Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy tabletop game. I bought the Witch Hunter warband dlc since the game is on sale today and I'm really enjoying them.

Just started Dawn of War after reading about how Starcraft was inspired by WH4K and checking out the art for the series. Plus I kinda gained a new itch for RTS games.

So far, it the game looks like what would happen if something like Mad Max was instilled into a fantasy setting. Which is good. Haven't gotten too far yet as the tutorial, while helpful, was pretty long.

I picked up Pokemon Moon last week and currently have logged 9 hours into it. First time playing a Pokemon game since Gen 2. It's been a mixed bag for me.

On the plus side, I love the 3d graphics over the sprites. It reminds me of the excitement of using my team in Pokemon Stadium as a kid. Also love how I can raise affection by petting it, but I do have some thoughts about the care thing I'll bring up in the cons. I have an owl for my starter, which is cool, and I can take pictures of Pokemon like it's Pokemon snap. Plus it still feels great when I capture one I want and I love how it shows what type of ball I used to capture a Pokemon with. And I freaking adore those juggalos from Team Skull and their theme.

On the negatives, it feels way too beginner friendly. I start off being given a huge wad of cash to start off with, while in the older games I started broke and had to make my early purchases count. My rival picks the start with a type disadvantage to mine, and I can use that right off the bat. EXP share is given to me shortly thereafter, is a key item rather than something held, and makes leveling up a party child's play if one doesn't turn it off. I can cure lingering status effects through the care option without cost. And the initial selection of Pokemon is so varied it's possible to have any type of Pokemon without much effort. Heck, there was a girl trading a Machop for a Spearow, which makes the first trail a breeze, and all I had to do was exit the Pokemon center to catch one. Not to mention how items are just given to me, TMs can be used without limit, and through the use of Ride partners I don't have to sacrifice a move for HMs to progress.

I'm enjoying myself, but at the same time it doesn't feel right to me. Part of me thinks I should have just swallowed my pride and bought an overpriced Gen 1 game off the eshop. And trust me, I feel like an asshole mentioning a lot of this stuff because it's a game for kids...

But you know what? Challenge makes things rewarding. I got further than I ever have in Mario 1 the other day, still lost but I felt better doing that than I did beating Mario 3 through exploiting the hell out of restore points. I'm not saying don't have fun with Pokemon, but the stuff they've done with it since the Game Boy Color era just makes me feel like the experience has been devalued. I feel with this game raising a Pokemon to level 100 or beating the main story isn't going to have the same impact it did in the old days. More like getting a participation trophy than anything.

Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary. I'm not very good at it.

If someone could tell me how to unlock Feli tho, that'd be fantastic.

I've spent most of my gaming on Isaac. Finally managed to get all of the unlocks, so I have the "complete" game, or at least until they create another expansion/booster pack.

I'm going to try to get the pc version of Devil May Cry 3 working with the Style Switcher mod; with a ps2 copy arriving on friday if I can't get it to work. Anyone have experiance with it? I'm a complete noob with modding anything outside of steamworks.

Oblivion with a few mods installed. I forgot how good the writing in this game is. A shame about the blob faces and bland environment but at least it doesn't have the weird triangle faces Morrowind had.

Spent half my day on Dead Cells and abusing the free crits and built in bullet time I get with Rapiers.

Welp Homefront sure is a COD clone if i've ever seen one. I might check out the multiplayer if there is bots. which i doubt it and I wouldn't be able to play anyway since the online is for real dead since it used GameSpy(I laughed my ass off seeing that. Also start Fire Emblem Echoes today and I really weird out about how much they change the fire emblem gameplay, Like Filers aren't weak to bows and weapon triangle is gone. it just makes me wonder how much the original strayed. oh crap i keep forgetting I am playing Suits The Business RPG, which is standard RPGMaker fare, which is probably why I haven't given it much thought.

Started Fire Emblem Echoes. The new gameplay is... interesting, to say the least. It's at least new, and a breath of fresh air. The art, cutscenes, and full voice acting are absolutely beautiful, though.

Skyrim: Special Edition. I haven't done a proper playthrough in years, I just used to pick up my old save and dick around now and again. I'm finding that the game is a lot better with Dawnguard installed as access to Crossbows and Serana as a companion makes early dragon attacks less of an annoyance.

I've been playing Severed on Vita after it was free on PS+ a while back. Can't say I was expecting much from a game based so much on the touch screen, but it's been a lot of fun so far.

Also, Future Unfolding on PS4. Fucked if I know what I'm meant to be doing, but two hours in and I think I'm enjoying it.

I put so many hours in to that game but kind of ended up ruining it for myself by spending ages crafting a bow that could one shot pretty much every single thing in the game, including dragons. There was no sense of danger left after that. Think I abandoned it after about 110 hours, with very little of the main story line done.

Yeah you need to punch through the main story before you start dicking around or you make the game unbalanced. Morrowind was even worse for that.

The Old Republic has been my go to since a buddy got back from station in Korea. It's all he plays, so I joined in and found it to be the Bioware game I wanted after the failure of Andromeda.

I'm thinking of replaying gta 5. Is there a way to make the controller vibration only work if you're in a car? I hated my desk vibrating whenever I had to shoot things on foot.
