Could something be done like posts with links or attachments need approval to be visible? They could go into a queue that mods go through and approve? I don't think it would be the only answer but it could be another layer of defense.
 
you should create some sort of purgatory like live chat where t&h users can have fun fucking with fresh meat and attempt to sus them out to give out invites or vote on if they are real. could turn it into a fun initiation/hazing ritual.
if anything it slows registrations down while keeping new user engagement up, but its alot of work to put in for him to just spam nigger in the chat thousands of times, but at least you can limit it to text.

This is why we can't have nice things. Even if this guy gets busted and sent to rape-you-in-the-ass prison, then what? Some other chucklefuck will probably take his place. The internet is broken, and I have no idea how we go about fixing it.

Isn't this already the case for new sign up posts needing mod approval? Unless you're meaning something else.
 
Doesn’t 4chan ban VPNs? How would this pedo be able to post his CP there without outing himself? Or can the VPN ban be easily bypassed?

I get that but guys like dogima's dogma aren't trying to spam CP, and are capable of blending in long enough to dodge the probationary period.

Unless gay pedophiles have had some kind of technological breakthrough, you cannot spam CP if you cannot post links or upload images/videos.

For the sake of discussion lets say the probationary period is "at least 1 month and 100 posts" to be eligible for full functionality. That would mean that the gay pedophile spamtard would have to wait at least a month and generate 100 text posts per account that hold up to manual approval before he has the opportunity to spam CP.

To me this sounds like a pretty good barrier to him, but not much of a barrier for a True and Honest user of the site. Am I being retarded?

It's actually pretty simple to fix a lot of the Internet.

1) Nuke India off the map.
2) Nuke Latin America off the map.

80% of the Internet is fixed.
 
just throwing ideas out
  • put new accounts in a jailed state where they cannot make posts until X days old, then they cannot attach media until Y days old
  • shadowban accounts if they're proven spammers
  • custom captcha that's specific to this site or other obscure internet culture
  • rate limit registration and do a wide IP ban if they're coming from the same range
  • give oldfags a set number of invitations per month they can give out to people with the stipulation that they're on the hook if it's used for spam
  • manual review of posts from new accounts before they're posted
  • manual review for each new account registered before they're active
but if you're going against one dedicated turboautist there's really no easy solution

They'll just chargeback and claim it's fraud. Then you have to deal with whoever takes your payments being mad at you. Unless you can make the ACH check thing work.

as described in op, he uses Residential Private Networks, which are VPNs that scalp the Internet connections of their own users, so when you join for a "free vpn" you are actually letting them use your IP and bandwidth for spammers like him, which means their IPs are normal, domestic connections.
