There’s over 200,000 accounts on something awful over the past 2 decades. A site a million times less funny, and they still have people paying enough to make a thousand or two each month despite being dead and irrelevant. People absolutely would pay for a kiwi account lol.

It should be a requirement to curse Vishnu and to type “children and animals are not sexual objects” when making an account.
This feels over-engineered as a solution, but it popped into my head. Maybe make new users write a short essay on a shibboleth topic (i.e. why Hinduism is a lie, why furries are disgusting reprobates, why executing people for possessing CSAM is right and good) and vet the responses for AI-generation red flags? Spitballing, there are a few ways this one can go wrong.

I;'d have to sit down and really think of something both easy to develop, easy to understand for forum users, and hard for a jeet to get.

One thing immediately comes to mind

Throwing an idea out there, but might it be worth it to have all new users go through a mini Turing-test, where they must have a private conversation with a current user / mod / admin, and state their intentions?

Edit: This might also serve as a good general filter / citizenship test for new users
I personally also like this idea. If a Mod/Admin is unable to talk, then you're unable to join until they can get back to you and generally verify your intentions?

The only downside I could see of this is how that in itself might work. A request feature to talk to a Mod/Admin could still be abused, holding up legitimate users-to-be like myself, and also put stress on said Mods/Admins.

Then again, could easily be subverted, I'm still very new here and don't know the Mod and Admin team well enough at all to know how persistent they might be.

"Put your signature in this box to curse Vishnu and affirm your belief in the One True God, Jesus Christ."
i think this just needs to be a part of the footer right under james 4:7, "Continued usage of this website affirms your belief that all False gods and their worshipers will burn in hell as well as that you believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth."

When I am awake and monitoring the forum, it will be Day and registrations will be open. When it is night time and I cannot monitor the Kiwi Farms, I will close registration to invite-only.
What stops him from registering accounts while you're awake and then waiting until Night to attack?

sorry you have to deal with Fagton Chigurh

Doesn’t 4chan ban VPNs? How would this pedo be able to post his CP there without outing himself? Or can the VPN ban be easily bypassed?
He's probably one of many reasons this is the case. People going around making themselves into new horrible problems for others tend to indirectly create new policies that hinder everyone else.

only plausible solution i can think of is to have registrations require a working phone number and send a verification text but:
a) you'll probably get banned from whatever service
b) not many people would supply a phone number

obviously you'd pre-emptively ban google-voice (etc)

this is the worst idea i have ever seen

Idunno if there's regularly any backlog of reports and it seems from your descriptions it's not a significant bottleneck, but I think adding a dropdown reason field or even a "is this crazy illegal" checkbox and using it to automatically triage reports such that extreme incidents like CP uploads can be prioritized and maybe even immediately quarantined would be helpful in this situation and minimize the possibility of missing something.
Also seems like the kind of common feature an AI could do well implementing.
