A small correction: she became the breadwinner after her grandfather, who was her father figure, died from Covid in 2022, the year she became a vtuber. Her BPD mum worked part-time in a minimum wage job and was a net negative to her household's finances due to her spending habits. For example, just before unaliving herself, she spent thousands of dollars on clothes and jewels, which Ellie then had to sell or donate to make room in her house.
