Disable posting images/vids/links until user has ~100 messages and positive reactions.
Limit everything to text only. 5 posts a day max etc.
After 10 days, reset their password or change it to some fuckery that they have to manually reset after. Nobody is gonna do the manual hand work of that (For now anyway)
Given the attacks are probably some sort of terminal/script based, require password reset to read an image sent via mail.

You can make new users post in a thread with the screen cap of previous post + write your name on image, so it is in a way, self-limiting.

I think this player is a state affiliated actor. You just don't do this in your own "free time" unless you want the site taken down. This is a full time job.

Even the regulations against him are causing site-self-harm which is one of his goals as well.
There's really no good way around this other than making it annoying for everyone sadly.

Are attachments and images for unapproved posts available for unauthenticated users to view? If him reporting you to your providers is the issue, it seems like making the content unavailable to them fixes the issue.

The problem with making it that you can only post with a positive reaction score is that people like HHH wouldn’t be….

Just track their mouse movements. None of the automation software can emulate human mouse movements, and anything handmade using algorithms or AI takes too long to calculate in real time.

Trust me I've tried all of it back in my botting days.

Complicated answer because xf is shit but yes. Authentication requires going through PHP to serve files - tremendously terrible.
 
not to be a retard, but why do so many people try and mess with you constantly? you are doing a great thing here, and you would think people would recognize that, instead of trying to tear it down. anyway, im sorry you are dealing with all of that.
 
Honestly. I agree with previous users and think the best idea for this is to find the earliest join-date for an account assumed to be the infiltrator's, set the farms so that users from that point onwards have to age out of "new-user" status that limits them to text-only posts, as well as make certain posts to guarantee that they are human (Introduction, how they found Kiwifarms) until they can create threads and post images. I don't think this would be too shitty of a task as we are a forum and not a board like 4chan, so anonimity is not as strict and consistent user-engagement is encouraged.

Also enlisting lower-rung mods whose only job is to watch and delete problematic uploads from back-end gallery of media uploaded to kiwifarms. This will head off new accounts uploading stupid shit when they get the ability to upload images and video to the site.
I know from what @madeforkiwifarms posted in the David Hoffman thread; /v/ and 4chan as a whole have an archive of all of their images that are being uploaded to any given board where users can report images for deletion. If we had something like that, but not exposed to the entire public like theirs. then we could have like 5 moderators poring through, deleting shit that shouldn't be here immediately.

@Null Sorry if my suggestions aren't helpful and are too broad-scope. I'm not a web designer or coder but it does piss me off that they are trying to fuck with the site and I wish I could be of more use.

You could also just outright ban all the major proxy providers.

Or require 1 GB data transfer for account verification. Drain the guys entire proxy account balance in one day lmao. Real residential rotating proxies aren't cheap, charge per GB, and I highly doubt this guy has access to blackmarket residential IPs with unlimited data (which cost $10k usd and which botters have to split and share with others since they can only be acquired illegally, usually by nefarious software or even malicious internet service providers)
