There's a few ways I could see of mitigating this, one would be using a custom captcha, If I am not mistaken I believe you are using hcaptcha which there are plenty of solvers for(2captcha and etc). I believe that if you created your own custom captcha it would be harder to bypass, but there is room for trolling in here.

It would be great if you updated the captcha system constantly basically forcing them to rewrite their solver, sure it might take a while but watching them trying to solve it just to get fixed the next day would be pretty funny.

Secondly you could use something like a ip reputation database, abuseipdb comes to mind but that's for general security, something like spur.us(this is Enterprise but you get the point) shows whenever an IP is a residential proxy, eg nsocks and etc.

Also spur.us lets you view an IP without having an account spur.us/context/1.1.1.1 replace 1.1.1.1 with your ip

You make a good point. This is also why I advocate a PI, we need to find out who is funding him and why, then that can be attacked. For all we know Dong Gone is sending him $10K a month to do this. KF has many enemies, and some of them have resources. He could simply be the puppet and someone else is funding, and pulling, his strings.
