Megathread Insane Parents of "Transgender" Kids - Parents who push a transgender identity on their children

I don't know how they reconcile the inherent homophobia involved with pressuring your probably just gay son into becoming a "girl". The fact that a highly conservative country like Iran is promoting it as a solution to homosexuality should present itself as a red flag.

There is a documentary about this:

Gay men and lesbians are pressured into "changing" their sex. By the way the surgeon is a quack and the results are even more horibble than in the west. In Iran homosexuality is seen as an illness and the "cure" is chop off your genitals and take lots of hormones.

It has nothing to do with sex ed. In the last year of elementary school, science class gives basics of the reproduction system, with the flower experiment etcetera. I think they're referring to that

So this is a thing

Kids get it more quickly than adults? That's because they haven't developed their critical thinking abilities properly yet. They just accept what they hear. Most adults (the ones that haven't been intellectually stunted by Tumblr at least) think: "Hey, wait a moment... that sounds fucking stupid".

Parents who believe this shit actually brag about how they teach their children lies and shield them from the forbidden truth that there is such a thing as biological sex.

There's also an article I can't find where a little boy whose mom has started insisting he's a girl starts having massive behavioral problems in school after finding out (once a girl at school starts her period) that only real girls can have babies. These kids are being pushed into decisions about their bodies when they don't even know what their parts do yet.

Wait, so this kid was hoodwinked up until the age where classmates started going through puberty?

That's a pretty dumb kid, to be honest.

Since the T is overall god damn illness, I don't get what it does with LGB. It would as well be LGBPWAL (=LGB + people with artificial limbs) or frigging LGBPWGM (=LGB + people with genital mutilation).

I was thinking that a new acronym might be in order, too. Since people kept adding letters to GLB, it seemed a better solution would be to have a single, catch-all acronym to cover all potential bases.

The best I could come up with was HARM - Homosexual And Romantic Minorities. For some reason, it didn't catch on.

SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Acceptance) was one I REALLY liked when I heard about it, but the more irritating types shot it down fast. Something something 'inter-community unacceptance' and 'too inclusive.'

Then there was QUILTBAG (I don't even-) and MOGAI (Marginalized Orientations and Gender Identities); neither caught on for reasons.
