Papa Frig had an anger episode while driving Staph around for errands. Wonder what she did or said to piss him off so much that he sped off with her groceries still in the car? And even left his wife behind, if Staph is to be believed? I'm sure she's greatly exaggerating.

This goes back to what @RonRiot was saying: as soon as something actually interesting is going on in FrigglyTown, we get as much information (and/or as much clarity) as when you're trying to ask a six-year-old what happened at school today.

So Dad and Mom took her grocery shopping and then to the doctor for a vaccination, then Dad had a road rage incident and left the scene with the cops coming, having hit (car? fist?) a woman during it? I'm confused by the timeline proposed. The only thing that would make sense would be if it were something about parking (at the doctor's office) and Stephanie were yelling at him during.

I wonder what she means by "pouring at him."

Admittedly, he's got an anger issue, but I don't think he's not at least somewhat justified. The guy played adoption lotto, probably to make his wife happy, and look what he got. And his wife is very ill. I'm not surprised things set him off, a normal person would have zero patience with her antics. I am willing to bet that when Mrs. Frig goes to her reward one day, the last link breaks and Mr. Frig changes his phone number, changes the locks, and goes radio silent. She's a goddam adult and has been for the last twenty years.

If I get started on the rest of the info in @Pee Your Pants post, I'd be here all night, but just imagine claiming that having to take a bus (after getting a vax! She could get lethargic and THEN what happens, Dad?) is some kind of trauma. Oh, and her groceries were still delivered to her door. I wish he had kept them, he probably paid for them.

I went non-contact with my dad and it was the best decision I ever made.

For many many years before that, however, I absolutely did NOT get rides to appointments with him, and I certainly didn't have him clean my apartment for me.

I'd take a crowded, shitty, methy Chinatown bus everywhere for the rest of my life rather than get a ride with my dad anywhere. But I don't have to, because I have life skills, so I have several modes of transportation available to me.

She acts like her parents depend on her but she's the one dependent on them. Couldn't even walk to a pharmacy to get her covid vax, and she's gonna go non-contact? Lol okay Staph.

I am biased to being anti-dad in these stories, but honestly-- Staph is an unreliable narrator. She's written nothing to make me believe her dad has an actual anger issue.

Considering how out of proportion Staph blows every interaction online, I have no trouble believing her dad is just a normal old man. He doesn't understand her, sure. And ignorant comments made by parents will hurt more than ones from other people.

But let's be real. The most violence that's occurred in this family was when Staph threw bread at her mom.
 
Throwing my guess into the hat, Papa Friggly might have rear ended some body, got iut and started yelling, Gyro got out of the car to yell at him, Mama Friggly got out to yell at Gyro and Papa Friggly drove away when the person he hit decided to call 911.

It was probably Gyro's fault in some way because why else would he mention Gyro getting shot? Where did that even come from? I bet Gyro was going off on some self victimizing rant that caused the road rage that caused the accident.
 
Fender bender aside, there’s a lot of telling information there. Like that the poor starving boxxy who is forced to trudge miles through the snow in search of a meagre SNAP handout is actually driven to her appointments by her evil parents, along with her groceries.

She’ll wait until food stamps are back, at least. Can’t ask her to give up free groceries. She might have to give up the fancy granola and probiotic sodas and actually start relying on food banks.

Unless she’d cut off her dad and force her mom to be the middleman, as well as keep buying her things.

Her mom’s only a poor suffering cancer victim with an artificial hip and heart problems when it benefits Steph.

i think you may have misread it. i was reading it as staph tantruming at pops, and he dented the car while driving because he was distracted by the reeeeing. yarbs raging and slamming her fat fists on the dashboard enough to dent it is a funny mental image, though.

@Aunt Carol regarding clinic CCTV- maybe more will come of this incident. If pop frig sped off to avoid police who were on the way, that has potential for returns. Maybe we'll hear more about it in due time.

Are we sure that's not one of Stapphy's demographic of 'pooner so ugly they look like a troon'?
