Mods are breathing down your neck all the time, your civil posts can still make someone angry which causes your thread to get locked or deleted due to unwanted drama, shielding Nightdive from any and all criticism, pedos roaming around freely... like shouldn't be obvious at this point?

Also, BD fanboys thinking they are pro Doom players is always hilarious to me considering the fact that they would not even try the vanilla Doom if their lives depended on it.

There really is no reason to respect that port in any way whatsoever.
They're probably just going to spend the next few years copying Graf's updates while doing minimal UI fuckery so they can say their port is "better." Remember the people on the new project were coping their asses off about why GZDoom ran like crap while they were supposedly the primary maintenance crew.

I can understand the mods and salty oldfags who want to powertrip, but why do the rank and file bother? Even if it's the first place you hear of for DOOM exposure, surely it would not take long to hear of anywhere else and not have to deal with the histrionic homos.
 
Alright, it's been long enough since i made a Community Project Hatewach post. It is my favorite thing to talk about, but the retardation has been slowing down since i started talking about it. I'm sure i have nothing to do with it, it is just an unfortunate coincidence. Let's hope the winter months will bring the most laughable projects we've seen yet from of the autistic minds of Troonworld.

- Sweet Sixteen (MBF21) - An OTEX Quilt project - We start with a CP from an ever unoriginal and untalented moron. It's none other than the ultimate Troonworld tryhard, DoomGappy. After making some of the worst and unimaginative CPs in recent times, he's back doing the exact same tired concept - The Quilt Series. He did one for every single original IWAD, and now that he has nothing else to copy from, he's switching the concept to texture packs. It's no longer the Doom 2 Tribute Quilt, it's the OTEX Quilt. I guess the next one will be the CC4 Quilt, the Minecraft Quilt, the BTSX Quilt and so on. And what exactly are these projects? It's a grid of 1024x1024 mini maps, slapped together on a single giant map, with 64 or 128 unit doors connecting them. If you've ever tried one of these project for more than 2 minutes, i don't have to tell you how awful they are. - Foward Toward Uranus X - Esselfartium recently released the BTSX 1 and 2 texture packs, so i expect all hell to break loose with projects centered around them... I expect the fags from the Squonker team to follow soon, since these motherfuckers have been doing nothing else but to copy BTSX with whatever texture packs they can put together for the past few years. As for this particular project... well, there's nothing really wrong with it, but i get a feel it is done as a cacoward bait. Just the tribute title alone is a pretty good sign of that. And the project lead already proved himself to be a spineless, moderator bowing, cuck, as the original format was Boom, but was changed to MBF21 after Xaser couldn't help himself but to once again shove his business where it doesn't belong. Why is no one telling this fag to convert BTSX Episode 3 to MBF21, eh? Let's see what happens. After all, they no longer have to push for a vanilla format, just because they're connected with Bethesda and want to sell it as an official addon, right? But then you try the example map by the project lead, and it just looks and plays like a slightly overscaled vanilla Doom 2 map. You will never guess there's any ROTT homage in there if you aren't told what you're playing. No wonder no one joined the project. He would've had more success if he just made a plain and simple Vanilla Doom 2 project, which is exactly what this is in its core, but the unnecessary ROTT stuff lets it down. I guess a MyHouse megawad is a charming idea, if it was made in Vanilla compatibility, as an homage of the 90's MyHouse mapping trend. But of course it's not that. This is a MyHouse(dot)wad megawad, and it's in UDMF, so you know the maps will vary from absolute amateur garbage, to ultra complex, and cryptic level design with scripting and a ton of other non-Doom trickery. It created a very amateurish and souless experience, which to no surprise, people of Troonworld liked, because they have no standards. This one however is not led by TroonGappy, so maybe there is hope? Unless this new lead also proves himself to be an utter retard. Also, just like Amalgoom this one has the wrong format (Boom)... If you're remaking/mixing maps from the original IWADS, have the goddamn sense to make them vanilla-compatible. - On the Clock: A Community Wad Built for Speedrunning (9 Spots Unclaimed!) - A project centered around speedrunning maps... made by a guy who's never released a map (though he seems to be working on some maps for various CPs), and who's not a speedrunner. He might be a wannabe speedrunner (probably one of ZeroMaster's fanboys), spamming threads about various skips and tricks, but no demos of him actually speedrunning anything with monsters... that's right, he does No Monster "Speedruns". Isn't that a joke? At first, when i saw that his project has 9 available slots, i thought "Wow, this guy got 23 people to sign up for this trash?"... Nope, he got one, it's a 10-map project. And guess what? He didn't even make an example map, but had some poor fool join the project and even made a map for him, that was posted in the beginning of August, but he didn't even bother to playtest or give any feedback to the poor guy. He just ghosted him, while the project still sits open. And ss we all know, there's never any repercussion for imbeciles who do this to naive suckers, so we'll keep seeing it again and again.

- The Speedmapping CPs - Of course i'm not skipping the speedmapping projects, like PUSS or the ones by the Synami troon. We all know speedmapping is shit, but there's just not much about them that hasn't been said already.

Brutal Doom is slop, it's fun for about 2 hours and the novelty wears off immediately. I'm also sick and fucking tired of seeing comments on WAD videos like "pls support brutal Doom this level is broken and I can't play it boohoo" because they're 12 years old and can't figure out how the compat options work

To be even less original? Heretic629 contacted me in May or June 2024 if I could lead the wad. I was like maybe in summer 2025, and that was it. The thing that embarassed me is that he made it public. Damn

I'm not all that familiar with the vast world of Doom wads, so this might've been done already, but the idea of remaking TNT with the polish and refinement of Plutonia actually sounds pretty good. Of all the "official" Doom expansions, I fucking detest TNT the most, so any attempt to salvage it sounds interesting.

There is one I've played not long ago called 'TNT Goes Boom' and it's actually a better version of Evilution imo. It's basically a fan reimagining of it. Give it a try, you may like it.
It's not a well-known wad though but it's miles better than any troonslop released these days.
