If you think about, if people are okay with others writing fanfiction that uses someone else's characters and ideas, then having an AI make up some characters and plot ideas for you to write a story around should be fair game, it's close to the same thing. The best you can complain about is that it's not "fair" that the latter can still own full copyright of their story, but the former can't.
Sounds like the "Dunning–Kruger effect" in action.almost everyone who has complained to me about it just does it so damn smugly
Don't know why you're asking me specifically, I'm just some guy. But if I had guess, it's a combination of several things that coalesced into a general seething hatred of the concept of generative AI that goes beyond logical reason.
Earlier you mentioned something about leftism, universities, and generative AI hate, so I figured you'd know.Don't know why you're asking me specifically, I'm just some guy.
How come the arts are infested with SJWs anyway? Is it because they think doing that for a living instead of a hobby is a comfy way to live? Or because spreading propaganda?a lot of it probably just that generative AI affects a lot of jobs leftists happen to infest
Well I'm flattered you consider me an authoritative source, but I don't think I am one, even if I do absorb a lot of random information.Earlier you mentioned something about leftism, universities, and generative AI hate, so I figured you'd know.
That's the sort of a question that could probably fill an entire thread of conversation. At least as far as keeping things focused on modern day SJWs, I think it's a combination ofHow come the arts are infested with SJWs anyway? Is it because they think doing that for a living -- as opposed to just a mere hobby -- is a cushy way to live?

I'm not too familiar with "Zoomer" slangs. Take it "coomer" means freakish or unhealthy excess of sexuality? Oh yeah, and SJWs are typically against straight male sexuality.coomer artists
Why not both?Sounds more like historian lovers just being smug.
To be charitable, it is annoying when you can tell that someone you're talking to online has just copy-pasted a response from ChatGPT, or published it without even reading through it. But it's also annoying when people post rambling stream of consciousness without punctuation or paragraph breaks. And those are kind of the same thing nowadays. To the extent that people complaining are against that, I can sympathize. They lose me when they start going on about electricity usage and plagiarism. If the character biography contains incorrect details, bizarre metaphors or is otherwise annoying in the ways that AI writing often is, it should be criticized for those reasons. But if it's perfectly cromulent work and the author happens to mention they used AI to help with it, no reasonable person should have a problem with that. To be honest, the author probably shouldn't even mention it.I'm part of a writing group that does regular historical stories and story telling on an online forum.
If you even think about using AI to write your character biography, people will openly shame it and trash it because we have the audacity to not write our own character's biography and backstory.
It's that looked down on. And I have seen many people shamed for it publicly.
FFS, it's a biography. Not a chapter.
Basically, yeah. Or just someone who spends too much time looking at porn and masturbating. Or insult for someone being annoying in talking about porn or talking horny too often in conversations that aren't about that. In my usage last post, an extra flippant way to mean porn artist (who probably draws particularly weird porn).I'm not too familiar with "Zoomer" slang, but "coomer" means freakish or unhealthy excess of sexuality?
I imagine there are less leftist people who draw more moderate porno in the West, but yeah the leftists are probably more likely into sick stuff. Remember when Tumblr banned porno, and the "REE sexualizing women is bad" crowd did a mass exodus to Twitter? That crowd seems to more or less unanimously going "REE AI art bad", since AI art appeared.porn artist (who probably draws particularly weird porn).

Response/something you're expecting others to read. Not a response. A written character biography to introduce your character. My problem is, if I admit I used AI to write some of my biography or all of it, usually done for styles like biographies that read like articles, etc. Well, the way that they act to it, I may as well have said that I killed someone.
Lol, it's a huge sin in that group.
Response/something you're expecting others to read.
Well your prompts obviously did kill at least a few black people in Tennessee by making their water disappear.Just don't admit to it and probably no one will be any the wiser.
A lot of AI training and inference runs on graphics card clusters in data centers, many of which use water cooling, and leftists pretend not to understand the water cycle. It's all the same arguments they made against Bitcoin mining, basically amounting to "how dare you use resources for something I disapprove of, maybe if I shame you with selectively applied enviro-doomer arguments you'll feel bad and stop."What is the deal with AI taking water?

I recently saw someone get called out for posting AI art because of muh water usage and muh harm to marginalized communities. He responded that the art was generated on his own PC and so obviously had nothing to do with any data center. Many smaller AI models will run on the same hardware you'd use for playing videogames and use the same or less electricity as that activity.
“Taking a shit on the floor to own the libturds”because it makes libtards seethe
@grok, is this true?“Taking a shit on the floor to own the libturds”
Overall, a lot of it probably just that generative AI affects a lot of jobs leftists happen to infest, and since anything that makes them mad or worried must be some kind of moral affront to them, they ended up screeching about it being evil because of the human creativity and environmental angles.
Not to derail into politics, but I find it weird how United States Leftists do not emphasize how impactful the tariffs are on the job market. Not even leftists attribute the state of the economy to basically how international trade is impacting the US domestically and abroad. If anything, I think the recent price increase and poor job market can be attributed to the rising production cost due constriction of cheaper trade abroad. I think the only reason why it's not discussed so heavily is the economic illiteracy of the left, which is why their support for globalism mostly comes from humanitarian arguments like giving refugees sanctuaries, but then they corrupt the actual positives of free immigration, by installing policies that bring in migrants by the millions and subvert the property rights of others and codify ridiculous entitlements to immigrants as rights.Don't forget, AI also gives leftists a convenient excuse for why the job market has gone to shit which doesn't involve immigration.
It's funny to interpret unions as liberal movements because I remember decades ago, unions hated immigrants because it allowed companies to import labor for cheap. In fact, a lot of US animators hated how much work in the industry was moved to Asia, cartoons often depicting them as undignified, exploited slave labor.Leftists can no longer condemn globalism or the importation of easily exploitable foreign workers to depress wages. So they retreat to endlessly complaining about billionaires and AI and "clankers."
