Death Battle - Analyzing weapons, armor, and skills on the Internet since 2010.

I don't know who either of those characters are, but two brand new series to Death Battle is always fun. It's literally only happened once this year, counting all DC/Marvel characters as being in one series.

Gonna make a wild prediction they're leaning so hard into the Season 0/Toei Look for Yugi so people feel better when they kill him.
I don't think DB has what it takes to kill a character like Ash anymore.

I can see it, and it's happened before, but very rare for a villain or more villainous kind of character to beat a hero. It's probably happened like, what, five times? Ever?

What about scenarios where two villains fight, and the more vile one ends up winning, like Darkseid, Apocalypse, Bill Cipher, or Frieza?
Unless Kamen Rider is into making their characters unbelievably busted in the Reiwa shows, this isn't even a fight.
Geats is essentially a creation god with centuries of tactical experience. Granted, he's not invincible. as the show established he can only tap into his divine powers sparingly, but he's still pretty damn strong.
I know nothing about Nero, so is she like, a super OP reality warper?

I guess? It's still a villain vs. villain fight. Like Megatron or Thanos are just barely less evil than Frieza or Darkseid.

Well it was about as toothless as I expected, Yugi's monsters getting destroyed left and right but cartoony KOs for pokemon.

Still enjoyable at least.

I still don't get how they thought Yugi with the Egyptian Gods would be a fair match for any of Ash's Pokemon.

It's pretty much that one meme:

While I did think this was a fun Death Battle, yeah Ash was fucked. Only real way he could have possibly won is if he cashed in a few favors from the legendary Pokemon he helped, Arceus for example. Honestly I expected Holactie to just vaporize everyone on Ash's side, doubt even Pokedex accurate Mons could win.

I believe the idea is that they're doing Pokemon vs Yu Gi Oh as if they're finally settling an old playground argument.

For as much as the comparison of Yugi vs Ash, I'm not sure if Red would be any better.

Fate guy here, i try keep it simple.

Nero has something called a "Reality Marble". Basically characters with RM can create temporary pocket dimensions with all kinds of different abilities and effects. In Nero case, her RM is more or less "As long as i believe in myself, i can basically do anything." Her RM gets stronger depending how huge her ego is at the given moment because shes a narcissist. She can only keep it up for a few minutes however because using her RM give her a headache.

This is why Pokemon power levels pale next to other monster catcher series. Ash's fights are glorified cock-fighting sports, while Yugi's fights are life-and-death scenarios with cosmic warrior deities, as with Digimon, and Shin Megami Tensei, and Shaman King, and Battle Network, and...

TBH, I’m kind of surprised that Nero is the first Fate character, rather than someone more known like Shirou, Rin, or Artoria/Saber.

So she's like Law from One Piece?
Why the fuck is it "armor" instead of "defenses" anyway
Maybe because the first two combatants had armor?

Ash has dealt with a few Legendaries, but more often than not, his Pokemon weren't up to snuff.
  • Charizard was beaten to near death by Entei
  • Sceptile lost to Regirock even with a type advantage
  • Same with Torkoal when he fought Registeel
  • Darkrai swept half of Ash's team before Sceptile finished the job... only for Latios to take out the the other half
I'm sure there's more examples, but I stopped following the anime around Unova.

Same for Geats. Yeah, he's popular, but you'd think someone like Ichigo or Kuuga would get to be first.
