Don't get me wrong, I really love the idea of showing the lives of not-well-known but amazing women from history, but the POV used here bothers me more than a little. It's like, even when these people are supposed to celebrate these women's lives, they cannot stop treating them a few more than glorified victims of every-fucking-thing whenever they can, even going beyond the values dissonance proper of different times.

Plus way to throw the OTHER important lady in early Japanese female education, Umeko Tsuda, under the bus. Probably because according to Wikipedia she had other priorities than being a feminist, so.

Yeah cis people are dull as shit, just living our lives, drinking beer, eating curries, playing Vidya, having fun with our firends, having sex that's not totally disgusting and filled with guesswork. I think personally the hardest part for me is that I'm very rarely offended by anything and I know in my heart of hearts that true happiness lies in being offended by everything in the entire world. I reckon that they get so mixed up with their dumb gender being "real" because they can't separate their mood from their fancy-pants-clown-gender. Maybe they genuinely feel like they're different from other girls (heh) with their shallowness and their soap operas and however else teenagers are portrayed in college comedy movies. But instead of being goth or emo or writing shitty poetry in a notebook, it's now that they're experiencing a whole new gender.
And instead of being "you just don't understand", it's "you're just being transphobic". When they hear "your gender isn't real", they hear "you don't really feel left out and awkward". Because that's what being trans is to them.

Kind of like demisexuals, in that people tell them "how you feel is how most people feel, it doesn't need to be a separate thing that's special to you" and they hear "you don't really feel that way about sex and relationships". And hey presto, they're the victim of bigotry.

Sure it is gigantic ass issue when it is Trump doing.. well anything, but Obama bombing brown people and getting involved to other countries' business was awwwright based on how quiet people were about it.

Bombing = power + prejudice
