Has anyone pointed out how they're all the same shit?
like it's usually a still avatar (commonly of some historical figure but it's not always the case) with the channel being run by either a wannabe Sargon of Akkad or some "LOL I'M SO DIFFERENT GUIZ" chick.

I'm not kidding, atleast thematically it's an odd trend.

Usually I see some kind of skull or Dark Ages iconography slapped onto a suit. This would inevitably lead to Armoured Skeptic accusing them of being a clone because apparently he owns the image of a suit or something. He kind of apologized for that eventually, but it was really cringeworthy.

alot of their "sjws are bad" points i agree with and alot of people do i just dont like their unwarranted self importance their near clone like conformity to the "skeptic" brand and their "two different contradictory things are true to benefit us" and the fact their videos are not researched cringey and un funny as well as them trying to make politics into a hip new youtube genre theyve done things like mistake one of their own's character as a real person petty inner drama sargon being a 911 truther what more need there before theyre lolcows i preferred trump before the romanticism of a common bumpkin being president wore off and i remembered hes a jackass but even when i agree with them theyre still lolcow worthy i was subbed to many of them because they made good background noise and i agreed with more of their points before i bothered to think "maybe i should double check what the shitty derivative cartoon on my screen tells me" also im willing to admit to being dumb for believing autistic political cartoons and thinking a reality tv star could manage a world superpower whilst they only double down and call proof their world view is wrong and they live in a circle jerk sjws and think that the person telling them that live in a circle jerk

Edit: know no one cares but feel the need to point out i care so little about politics i didnt know obama got re elected or who sjws were before i saw the skeptics before anyone reads this and assumes i was a kekistani flag waving sperg i agreed with them in the same way you do when listening to a janitor say which floor wax is best for a school

Has anyone ever identified where this trend of "Skeptics" being people whomade reply videos on the Internet came from? I would guess Sargon was one of the progenitors or at least the person made it popular, but I've never found out for sure.

The Amazing Atheist & Thunderf00t are good places to start but they were never explicitly part of the skeptic community when it first started, but rather, they preceded it. I don't know who the first is but Armoured Skeptic might be the one.

A good place to look would be at the skeptic channels that try way too hard to be ecelebs, rather than expressing whatever their beliefs are.

Armored skeptic, Naked Ape, That one 6/10 British chick who's basically /pol/ fan service, and all the people who are basically clones of those three but happen to be "X minority" like that one black skeptic who's name escapes me.
 
So, remember that livestream that made Thunderf00t cut all ties with the skeptic community? The guy hosting it was someone named Vee, he is also a tard that doesn't do real research, while bragging about doing real research.


I don't think it could get more embarrassing than this.

armoured skeptic was about the same time as amazing atheist they both started when mocking Christianity was in vogue and actually was the source of the name skeptic community and why it values skepticism so much gamergate then popularized sjws and sargon started the anti sjw community which then took up skeptics as a label because armoured skeptic joined in and sargon dropped the "differing groups against sjws" identity in favor of the new skeptic label

Then again, gonna be honest, never been the biggest fan of the satiratician, he only seems to insult and point/laugh at people. Honestly, if that's all you have going for you, your content starts to become a cliche and parody of itself. Having an accent and saying vulgarities does not make him superior; it makes it look like he's got a one person circlejerk going on. A dollar store version of Armored Skeptic (who at least gave counter arguments after being a dickweed)

his content is essentially a meme because he didn't do his fucking research before ripping the shit out of your average everyday tumblr feminist.

Skeptics nowadays are generally business people and or attention whores. Being counter culture is highly profitable and an easy way to be a part of the cool kids. Nothing wrong with wanting money and validation but it's annoying when they aim for low hanging fruit and jerk themselves off as if they've made a huge stride towards defeating political correctness. It's also irksome when they create a billion loopholes so that they're never accountable for what they say or do. You should always take them seriously unless they're wrong or distasteful. Then it's just "comedy" or "shit posting."

i mean i get it, it's fun to watch someone sperg out. that's 95% of what i do here on this site.
but if you're gonna claim intellectual superiority, then why not go after the sjws that will put up a better fight/debate? have a better following? and NO i don't mean "block everyone on twitter, mainstream feminist/activist, has a bit on MTV" types.

Blaire is the only one who does that. The Laci Green debate was fun and you got something out of it from both sides. The only thing you'll get from the majority of skeptics is MTV is racist.
