Goodbye Volcano High - "The Future of Gaming", The Parody Game of the Beloved Snoot Game Franchise

When compared to those two endings, sure, but it's own it's still a very fucked up level off "oh, you're life is still fucked but yaz trying to pretend it's not."
Yes, people do compare it to those. About ending 3 in both - it's a late recovery instead of happy end in 4. In snoot, Lucy just begun first steps towards it and with Anon back in her life, she'll get there. In wani, Olivia was late to give the speech and she was only able to do it years later on the grave and finally close that chapter of her life. There were no "dynamite factory ready to explode" there

Still ignoring that in ending 3, Fang just traded one personality for another for simple peer pressure instead of deciding on her own, so she essentially didn't learn anything and just went back to square one. Only this time, by cutting out everyone out of her life.

Not everyone. Her family is still there, she made up with her parents and brother. She just became a shut in

Thanks to this thread I discovered I wani hug that gator game, I have spent roughly a hour into this, looking forward to continuing it spoiler free.
Update: I got ending 4 on first playthrough, I loved the story, thank you cavemanon.

nigger any ending where the troon shit is dropped is a good ending
You can screw up your life without being a troon. Switching from one madness to another is not healthy. The self she has in E3 is not a state she is happy with. Lucy is supposed to deal with her issues, not be closed off the world. E4 is the truly good ending. She is happy, she has her friends and family who had development themselves and truly found herself. That is peace and happiness.

This is the reason why i will always defend E3, while the older and more cynical i get, the more E4 just doesn't sit well with me. Fighting your own demons it's a long and grueling process, where sometimes you will relapse before reaching success, it's not something than can be done in your last semester of highschool as E4 portrays it.

In E3 Lucy has made peace with Naser and her parents, has a job she likes and Anon is back in her life. I see her in a road to a full recovery, she has her family, a good man as a partner, a fulfilling job and a sense of community due her attending at her church, she has a solid foundation to make it.

Now, Reed and Trish? fuck them, both of them, Reed was a fence sitter at best, an enabler for Trish's shitty behavior at worst, and Trish was an overall bad friend, and the main reason behind Lucy's bad relationship with Naser and her parents and her lack of identity, Lucy cutting ties with them was the right call, not a tragedy. The fact E4 never truly bothered to address both Reed's and Trish's own shit still bothers me.

The way you put it actually makes sense, It's either unintentional plotholes done by the cavemanon on E4 or its just lazy last second writing. I have to agree, despite the Fang's behavior in E3, it was the right call, E3 seems more plausible and mayhaps the most realistic one to say the least.

Just admit you like E3 because of the bible humping crap, Fang cutting ties with everyone except her family. Which, I know some retards love drilling down on the shit off "ya only need yer family and nothing else", which is such a huge load of bullshit.

>People make dumb mistake as teenagers while thinking they're helping you
>You should cut ties with them, they are horrible!!
Why do I get a sense of projection here.

I will say, while I like E4, I still feel like the original ending they wanted to have would work better. Where both Anon and Fang met different people while being away, both are happy and remain as good friends with each other.

Don't have much to add that hasn't been said, but I like both endings. I like E3 because it's bittersweet and life is bittersweet at times. And I like E4 because it's an idealized fantasy ending and sometimes it's nice to pretend.

>People make dumb mistake as teenagers while thinking they're helping you
>You should cut ties with them, they are horrible!!
Sometimes people bring each other down in a negative feedback loop and the only way out for either of them is to part ways. I think people can make dumb mistakes while thinking they're helping you at all ages.

Ye, but heres the question. If the ending showed how Fang cut off herself from her family and being happy, and saying how they were also a bad influence on her. Im having a hard time believing that people here wouldnt be sperging mad about such an ending.

E4 is the ending where everyone had character development. Even Trish. I am not going to argue that she was not an awful idiot. She was. However, forgiveness should be on the table considering she came clean, asked for forgiveness and promised to stay away from Lucy's life should said apology be rejected even when it means having to start over alone. There is some major accountability that should be considered here. Reed probably did not know how bad things had gotten until it is too late. After he realized it, he tried his best for the people he loves.

I think that those should be taken into account. We were all dump teenagers in the past. Some more than others.

Is E4 unrealistic? It depends. Bad things happen and so do good things. Do not mistake pessimism for realism.

Life ain't perfect, but I can't argue with that.
I doubt E4 was perfect. It is just the ending where everyone matured through their experiences. Trish at Prom in E3 is the same as Trish in the Prom at E4. Difference is that Lucy has become a much stronger person in E4 and was able to forgive Trish. Both Snoot and Wani are about making both the player character and the love interest better people. Endings 1-3 happen when you fail to do that enough to get the best ending where everyone is mature and actualized.

The execution might be a bit fumbled but I get what E3 was trying to do, Fang is past the enby shit but she's simply become an island and kind of turned in on herself but not in a self destructive way. She's better but not good.

The execution is fine since they were going for a bittersweet ending. She is still cutting parts of her personality. Just the parts that Trish liked but not necessarily bad parts. It is still a type of self-mutilation though. Still not healthy. She is far too vulnerable in E3 as she desperately needs Anon to be there due to being unable to find the strength inside herself. That is not healthy. What if Anon needs her to be strong one day? Or her kids? That is why E4 is important. She finds the strength to forgive Trish and be capable of being an equal in her relationship with Anon.

Out of curiosity, is this thread still about goodbye volcano high and its retard stans or we all moved to better things (Snoot game, Wani) and have completely forgotten the gay dinos game?
We talk about GVH when it is relevant. Apart from that, Snoot and Wani have a lot more depth and are far more interesting. The devs of GVH make the occasional hissy-fit (and we discuss that) but that's about it.
