The chief prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Flagrancia Occidente, Patricio Rosas, detailed that the event occurred when a police official, who was returning from his work unit, was approached by three subjects inside his vehicle while entering his home. "He was approached inside his vehicle by three subjects, repelling this armed aggression with his service weaponry ... in which, in this armed repellency, one of the thieves resulted in an impact that caused his death," Rosas said.
The deceased is a 21-year-old with a criminal record. "The deceased corresponds to an adult subject, 21 years old, with a criminal record for crimes against property ... two of them sentences more than 541 days as the perpetrator of the crime of reception of motorized vehicles," the prosecutor said, adding that one of those sentences was serving release.
Regarding the ballistic expertise, Rosas confirmed that "at the site of the event we managed to find weapons that are currently being carried out by the PDI crime laboratory in order to determine its nature ... and also its fitness for shooting." In addition, he said that the official acted, preliminarily, in proportion: "In the face of the threat ... the police officer used his service weaponry in a proportional way to the background we have at this time."
For his part, the prefect Ricardo Castillo, head of the Metropolitan Homicide Brigade, confirmed that security camera records are being collected and gathering testimonies to clarify the dynamics of the fact and the flight of those involved.

Was talked about earlier in the thread a couple times. Supposedly, a large percentage of Indians carry a gene that makes them more likely to develop particularly severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is a genetic condition that causes the heart muscles to get too thick and often leads to young people with it suddenly dropping dead one day from a heart attack.

It was also suggested that it's because they live in squalor and have shitty diets, yeah. I mean, I doubt there's serious research specifically answering the question "why do jeets seem to be keeling over from hearts attacks so much more often than other races" so we're just gonna be spitballing. There does seem to be research substantiating the higher rates of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy among South Asians though.

Interesting. From what I've been able to find it looks like south Asian people store fat in a different way from other ethnic groups and that makes them more predisposed to diabetes which heavily contributes to heart disease. Diabetes damages blood vessels and causes plaque buildup and high blood pressure which then can lead over time to heart attacks.

On a related note: For all the painful indicators one reads about of a heart attack in progress, these examples look passive. There is no real sign that the subjects are in any level of discomfort save for that one Muslim Indian who looked like he was exhausted. They just drop.
