The parents made mistakes. Like all parents do. The friends also made mistakes. Like all teenagers do. Yes, there would be sperging but the end product would be objectively inferior. Cavemanon want nuance on every character. That is what makes their stories good.
That is pessimism disguised as realism. Yes, things do not always work out. E4 is for when you have raised the maturity and growth on both Anon and Lucy/Fang to the point they can weather the bad things that will happen. Bad things do happen in E4 but, unlike E1-E3, they are not enough to bring them down. Things are never perfect but they can still be pretty great. That is what E4 is. How many couples met, fell in love and raised kids alongside friends and family? Many, no doubt about it. You just do not see it on TV. That does not mean it is unrealistic or unlikely.
