From my memory OSRS Freeplay feels like a proper game itself. A fun way to dip your toe in.

RS3 while prettier to some has a lot more members content scattered throughout the Freeplay area as a constant reminder to upgrade. Neverminding the combat changes and visual clutter.
 
Finally got around to trying out sailing. Only level 67 but I am enjoying it so far. I was going to say it's annoying that the gryphon boss can only bet fought on task, but I got pretty lucky with getting the sword.

Honestly these chunk men and their autistic grinds are super impressive. There's some guy catching surface(not puro puro) implings on the karmja volcano while also killing imps for a whopping 200exp/h cooking supplies while also doing on average 4h fire cape runs for the jad pet while also trying to figure out the inferno and the 2-6 jad challenges all in the volcano chunk and I cannot imagine how mindnumbing that shit could be considering I bounced off RS3's easyscape skilling rates with bonus exp.

There's also some guy who did the CoX chunk and is currently also doing the ToB chunk considering his first account is currently stuck killing necromancers for some other retarded grind but he had the out of being able to leech off the starting raids until he got stuff like the elder maul and twisted bow and also have 'fun' playing the game in multiplayer alongside his raid buddies.
 
Today I found out my f2p only acc got hacked and is currently on a members world 😂, do I let it grow or deal with it now

Edit: after trying can’t remember the password to either the account it self (likely changed anyways right?) and can’t remember the password on the email for the account either….

The irony is not lost on me

FasT 07 hit 200M XP in Sailing today, locking him in as #1 for the indefinite future. Someone on reddit posted some math regarding his time spent, assuming it was all done by one person:
Sailing launched just 48 days ago on November 19th 2025, meaning that Fast 07 averaged roughly 4,2m XP/day. The fastest sailing XP is doing the Gwenith Glide, which at high efficiency can be up to 230-250k XP per hour, meaning that FasT 07 averaged at least around 18 hours of max efficiency playtime every single day on his way to 200M, not factoring in early slow levels.

Presumably, that's a month and a half of only doing the Gwenith Glide and sleeping. This month and a half period included Christmas and New Years Eve.

Fast is apparently Lithuanian. I bet he's in a similar situation to Lynx Titan, the pre-Sailing #1. Lynx is Swedish and did a fascinating AMA 10 years ago.

What kind of person does Gwenith Glide for 18 hours a day for weeks? Oh yeah the turboneets of europe. Can't really say i'm impressed given how degenerate and sad the accomplishment is.

Also lol, the conspiracy saying that FasT07 is Lynx Titan's alt is hilarious, I hope it turns out to be true.

As far as we know anyways.

On another note, I can strongly recommend Sunbleak Island for woodcutting training if you're also interested in forestry events.
Redwoods were too low effort for me, and tick manipulation would cause my wrists to explode. Fortunately ironwoods turned out to be the perfect middleground if you do most forestry events, with runelite telling me that I'm getting between 81k-86k xp/hr. And because I'm doing forestry, I'm getting a ton of bark for sawmill vouchers which spiked a ton after sailing added new high tier planks.

If you're an ironman, those excess logs are useful at Shades of Mort'ton since they're faster to acquire than the traditionally used equivalents.

Camphor = Yew
Ironwood = Magic
Rosewood = Redwood

watching this deadman event shit is so chaotic. I don't know if there's any other non-runescape streamers other than Tyler1 in it, but holy fuck hes so bad. He "prepped" by just doing LMS for like 2hrs on stream the last two days. I can't watch his POV, watching him adjust his F hotkeys 2 hrs into the event is ragebaiting me :popcorn:

I kind of expected(hoped, even) him and oda to interact more, what little I know of Oda he's equally as 'high energy' and I recall him butting heads a lot with Dino and I forget who else in the first dead man allstars event.

Also EVScape is ddosing people(true and honest) !!!1111one!!!!




Finale was very underwhelming if I'm being honest.
  • Players teleported in random spots, leading to multiple players getting dropped in the middle of an enemy faction and getting deleted instantly
  • Armadyl got dropped in the middle of the map next to zamorak, where at the boundry of the fog. They fought with zammy for a while and then saradomin, having been dropped at the far end of the map, took their sweet time getting there and ended up picking armadyl apart in a 2v1.
  • Zamorak, already bloodied by armadyl were fighting a losing battle against saradomin
  • Bandos were just chilling in the fog, I don't know what they were doing to be honest
  • After a while Bandos started moving away from the fog, into 2v1'ing zamorak too.
  • Saradomin won
  • Shoutouts to simpleflips
The commentary team did an awful job showcasing it, it's chaotic sure but their commentary was terrible "look at... woah... something.... uh...." and so was the spectator work.

So sound like every DMM event there is because all the entertainment is always in getting to finale because lord knows Jagex can’t find a good way to ever make DMM end.

I didn’t get to watch the summit but I’ve went through the summary post and I’m just kind of… that’s it? DMM/Leagues back to back (and genuinely happen at least once a year so it’s not a big surprise it’s back), we already knew about rise of the blood moon from the last summit, another summer sweep up (that they actually just don’t have anything yet what they want to do but want the community to help out with that), sailing fixes and then raids 4 all the way at the end of the year.

So in the sense for real content being released this year we’re getting a GM quest (maybe 2, maybe raids 4 will have a good quest to be able to join) and raids 4
