Well it is the end of the month and he's sitting at $1170 so what's bugging him isn't low a Patreon pledge total.

Hmm. I bet she doesn't follow or look at any of his social media... I wonder if the comment he made to the effect of "we still talk" was a lie.

Nah, P5 was the most successful game Atlus has ever published. Apparently Japanese devs in general have a more negative attitude towards streaming, and this would not be the first game Atlus has released with streaming restrictions.

So unsurprisingly, DSP is not the martyr solely persecuted by Atlus that he makes himself out to be. Copyright strikes have been handed down by the publisher across the spectrum.
It's fair to say that since Atlus is this serious about striking channels, Phil is not going to win this appeal and Curse will therefore drop him.

Alright I'm calling it, Phil has officially lost his fucking mind. He actually thinks he's gonna win this, and that his word actually matters to Atlus or fans of their games. That "I am important and my word is king" attitude he had in that video was hilarious; as if the word of Phil Burnell will affect a multi-million dollar company. Less than a month into being alone and the isolation has broken his already damaged brain in half.

I mean he's still going to cut and run like a bitch when Atlus claps back at him in a day or two, but you could tell by listening to him that he really thinks he's that important and that he can win.

When he streams, he has people throwing him fifty dollar plus tips from out of nowhere every couple of days and at this point I'd be pretty confident in saying he probably takes in more revenue through Twitch, than he does in Youtube advertising money. I highly doubt he's going to lose his Youtube channel or partnership over this but even if he did, he's going to be okay. It's pretty clear at this point that his finances are nowhere as bad as he claims and losing his channel would probably see an increase in Twitch and Patreon interaction anyway, so any news of the end of DSP are pretty much greatly exaggerated.

With that said, it's hilarious that, once again he gets a setback and proceeds to make things worse for himself. All he needed to do was contact Atlus and Youtube and calmly explain that he did his best to not breach any of their guidelines and apologise if whatever he did ended up breaking them anyway. Instead he has to release this panicked video calling out Atlus and discussing the ins and outs of every possible solution to the problem to the internet. Phil just does not comprehend that sometimes you have to be nice and humble to get what you want.

This. Dunno if I've said it before, but with the lolcow saga of Phil Burnell there is no end, rather there are ends. Let's get one thing straight -- he's going to be doing this for the rest of his life. He will be an old man begging for money on the internet, playing games or doing something else in a hilariously bad fashion. That's how much of a cockroach he is.

Getting back to ends, here's what I mean:
Getting dumped by Machinima, that was an end. Personally I think this was the end of his presence on Youtube, and this thing with Atlus is just the final stroke of this event.
Getting dumped by Laveria, that was an end.
Getting dumped by Leanna, that was an end.
Getting a copyright strike by Atlus and whatever happens next in this story, that will be an end.
Even if he gets banned from Twitch, which I think will be the next big event, would still just be an end. He'd find another streaming site, though he wouldn't make nearly as much.

No one singular thing will be the end of Phil. All of these are important, but regardless of what happens he'll keep trucking on, going further and further down that hole he's dug himself in life. That you can count on. I dunno how his SoK "detractors" haven't caught on to this, but they're a bit on the spectrum themselves, so meh.

And it will catch on here, I have always said its gonna start with Japan and you will see more devs joining in, the lets play bubble will burst. All those lets players who claim they are doing this "for fun" will be running to paymetons like most are already.

That AtlusUSA tweet, tho. If they start mocking Phil by roleplaying as Prinnies, my life will be complete.

I still think my favorite tweet of all time (though damned if I could find it) was Kojima himself saying something to the effect of "this guy got really mad playing MGS & said my name a lot lol"
