@Juan But Not Forgotten

Got a response from Null regarding the OP updating issue and what he said worked for me. It might be a pain in the ass, but you need to get rid of the img tags and attach the screenshots directly to the post.
I suspected that, thank you. For some reason I thought that linking them was a better solution for server space.

Just a word of warning: though there is nothing explicit or illegal in that doc, as is the tradition by this point when it comes to Alex content, minors are involved.
The only thing worth your time in this:
The fact I read through it and the fact that wplace was more important then children STILL being in the server appals me. So were they willing to sit on this if this didn't happen?

Apparently, Alex's diehard mod that goes by Adolfin has quit his discord channel for reasons yet unknown, though r/Osana speculates it's because she was doxxed.
Is there an actual info though?

children STILL being in the server
How about the fact that Alex is running it on his second account which he uses for ban evading and nothing has been done since?

In the document it was Doxbim.

Alex does absolutely nothing. It's a given at this point. He could've done all ten rivals like 1980s Mode. But it's clear that he wants to do dick all. It's like if he finishes this game it'll mean that this would be his only crowning achievement.

And Doxbin has nothing on the matter. God, I love Alex's haters namely r/Osana being a bunch of juvenile retards. This 'expose' is the bigger waste of space than Alex himself.

Yes-yes, ha-ha, so original.

February 15 update (archive)
Hello!

I’ve got an new build for you, along with an update on that “Violent Criminal Organizations” situation. Scroll down past this illustration by Seina-Chan for the details.

Restoration of Terminated Yandere Simulator YouTube Channels

I sent the YouTube Partner Manager a list of 21 channels that were terminated by YouTube for “Violent Criminal Organizations.” The policy team reviewed each channel individually, determined that all 21 terminations were in error, and restored each channel! That’s fantastic news!

While I was waiting for the Partner Manager to report back with a status update, I continued compiling a list of terminated channels. The next time we spoke, I gave him an updated list of 40 more wrongfully terminated channels. Two days ago, he informed me that 38 of those channels had been restored! (The other 2 were not restored because the people who sent me their channel URLs did not format the URL properly, so the policy team wasn’t able to investigate their channel.)

1 restoration, followed by 21 restorations, followed by 38 more restorations – if we don’t count the channels that were ignored because the URLs didn’t work, 60/60 channels have been restored so far – a 100% success rate!

You’d think that once the YouTube Policy Team recognized that 60 channels had been terminated in error, they’d declare a code red, shut off their AI, change their review process, automatically scan their database for channels that were terminated for “Violent Criminal Organizations,” and restore all other channels that were impacted in the same way. You’d think they’d do something; you think they’d do anything.

However, I don’t have any good news to report in that regard. The Partner Manager has not informed me of any policy changes that should prevent this from happening again. It looks like it’s just going to keep happening. For example: merely 2 hours after getting her channel back, one YouTuber reported that 3 of her videos were deleted by YouTube! And, as of now, she states that 15 of her videos have been removed in total! Yikes! What is YouTube doing, exactly??

If you’re thinking, “Hey! I sent you my channel name and channel URL, too. Why wasn’t my channel unbanned??” Well, I’m extraordinarily busy. I’ll eventually get around to compiling a list that includes your channel and sending it to the Partner Manager. As always, it depends on how many hours of my day are robbed from me by people creating unnecessary problems for me that don’t need to exist. All I can ask is that you please be patient while I gradually work through the dozens of e-mails I’ve received regarding this topic.

New Animations and Voice Lines for Amai

Once again, another one of Amai’s events has been updated with voice acting and animations. This time around, it’s the “sabotaged” variant of Amai’s Tuesday Lunchtime Event!

Shamefully, I must confess that I have not yet found the time to update the “sabotage apron” gameplay, so the dialogue in the event and the apron that comes out of the bag won’t make any sense. I really hope that I’ll be able to update that gameplay in the next build.

If you compare Senpai’s old dialogue to his new dialogue, you’ll notice that it has been changed significantly. Instead of Senpai reacting negatively to the apron, he awkwardly tries his best to pretend he likes it. However, Amai is perceptive, and can sense that something is wrong. Senpai tries to lie and pretend that everything is okay, but eventually Amai squeezes his true feelings out of him, which leads to an embarrassing “Oh, crap, I screwed up” moment for Amai, while Senpai tries to console her and insist that nothing is wrong…but it’s too late, the damage is already done, and now Amai looks like someone who doesn’t listen when other people are talking.

Much better than Senpai reacting negatively to the apron and looking like a jerk!

Improvements

  • Updated Ken’s “The teachers need to hear about this!” line with a voice line that sounds more appropriately urgent and panicked.

Fixes

  • In Custom Mode, if the player designed a rival whose canon elimination method was “Freeze” but gave that rival “Invincible” strength, the player would be unable to push that rival into the freezer room, making that elimination method impossible to perform. (Same goes for the Iron Maiden elimination, too). This bug has been fixed.
  • Sakyu Basu’s ring was on her middle finger in-game, but was on her ring finger in her official art. The position of the ring in-game has been updated to be consistent with the official art.
  • After the game’s bookbag model got updated, the position of the bookbag changed slightly, so it stopped looking correct on the bullies’ shoulders. This bug has been fixed.
  • In the “a policeman reviews security camera footage” scene, the policeman was walking in place instead of performing the correct animation. This bug has been fixed.
  • The three cardboard boxes sitting outside of the science club were using the wrong model, which caused them to float in midair. This bug has been fixed.
  • It is no longer possible to use the “Send Student Home” feature on a teacher, because they are not students.
  • Kuroko’s glasses were permanently opaque, but they were supposed to be transparent. This bug has been fixed.
  • Amai’s Tuesday lunchtime subtitles were not 100% accurate. They have been corrected.
  • Fixed typos in Amai’s Tuesday morning subtitles.

Cameo

You might be thinking, “Huh? That’s it? That’s all you accomplished over the past 2 weeks?”

Yeah, I know, it’s not as much as usual. If you’re curious about that, I can shine a little bit of light on one of the reasons why…

In a recent blog post, I mentioned that I had begun to take Cameo requests. Throughout January, I only received one or two Cameo orders per day – sometimes none at all. But, over the past 2 weeks, that number skyrocketed – there was one day when I received over 100 Cameo requests! I immediately recognized that I would have to set aside multiple hours every day over the course of a week to get through all of those orders. That is simply not sustainable. Even though doing Cameo videos is fun, I absolutely can’t justify letting them eat all of the time that is supposed to be spent on Yandere Simulator. So, I increased my price from $10 to $20 to reduce the number of Cameo requests I was getting. After that, the number of new Cameo orders rolling in every day dropped to a much more manageable number.

As of now, I have done 318 cameos, and I am in 63rd place on the Cameo leaderboard! Wowza! Thank you to everyone who requested a Cameo!

It’s possible that the only reason why I got such an absurdly high number of Cameo requests over the past 2 weeks is because the Cameo app was offering some kind of Valentine’s Day deal (over 50% of the Cameo orders I received were to wish somebody’s significant other a happy Valentine’s Day…) so, now that we’re past Valentine’s Day, I think that the number of Cameo requests I receive every day will drop sharply.

Oh, don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining. “Boo hoo hoo, poor pitiful me, I have to take selfie videos and get paid for it, waaaaah pity me!” I’m just explaining to you why I wasn’t able to work on Yandere Simulator as much as usual over the past 2 weeks.

Oh, and I’m definitely not trying to say, “Don’t send me Cameo requests!! I hate it!!” I love doing Cameo videos…I just wanted to explain the reason for the short changelog up above.

By the way…

I hope you haaaaad…

…a happy Valentine’s Day!!!

i check yearly his patreon, still solid above 1k , his fanbase is beyond retarded , with so many anime games releasing these years and roblox maps, you have to be the special kind to keep playing this trash of a game.
SEMPER FI to everyone who still follows the development of yandere simulator, see you next year if im still alive :semperfidelis:
my bets for next year, game is not done, patreon still above 1k.

So this came across my recommended today for some reason even though I haven't touched any content related to Yansim in literally fucking years.
But apparently someone is trying to make their own Yansim again with blackjack and hookers.

Wanna bet this one is going to crash and burn like the others?
It's like Alex's game concept itself is cursed and anyone dumb enough to try and make something similar suffers for it I've began to notice.

I strongly suspect that Patreon is mostly him donating to himself to make it look like people still care
Money laundering lore?

2004-2009 - Incel Arc
Alex was highly active on forums like Gaia Online, GameFAQs, and Loserz forums under the username "EvaXephon." His early posts reveal a deep obsession with anime, video game babes (especially Samus Aran), and a strong fixation on female virginity. He posted about his hatred for "sluts" (women who are sexually active), expressed a desire to find a "docile and meek" girl to "make happy," and fantasized about removing "sluts" from the earth. He also posted on a suicide forum, talked about wanting to kill his parents, and confessed to thinking he could become a serial killer but later changed his mind because he thought they would fuck him. He wrote a fanfiction (sad) called "I Am Your Slave". The story featured his self-insert character, Siegfried, sexually exploiting a character named Tira. At the time of the game's setting, Tira is 17 years old, making the depicted relationship statutory rape, he also ran a website featuring comparison galleries of anime women.

2015-2020 - Coomer Streamer

"Osana is almost done": Alex repeatedly claims that the first rival, Osana, is nearly complete and will be released "soon". The deadline passes, and he posts lengthy blogs or videos full of excuses, blaming bugs, emails, his personal life, "gremlins" (online critics he did not take well), or the need to add more "low-hanging fruit" features first. Volunteers and artists frequently leave the project, citing his poor management, lack of payment, and toxic behavior. Notable departures include Wunkolo, Druelbozo, and others. By 2022, his Patreon income was dropping, and he admitted on Discord that a Kickstarter campaign would likely fail, which would most likely lead to him dropping the game. Also, him defending the sexualization of his high school-aged characters, putting them in actual porn games (Crush Crush, Project QT), and asking fans to draw his characters in suggestive poses until he changed them to 18. Sisefs was one of the unfortunate grooming victims of Alex in 2018 allegedly, citing a Tumblr post.

2023-2026

In September 2023, text and audio messages surfaced of Alex—then 35 years old—engaging in sexual conversations with a 16-year-old fan. He admitted to the conversations, admitted the girl told him her age, but denied "grooming" because he supposedly had older friends when he was a minor . He blamed his "deteriorated mental state" from working on the game for too long. A majority of remaining volunteers (voice actors etc) left the project. Twitch finally banned him in October 2023 and his game. Alex releases Amai, players complained she felt basic without proper voice acting and animations so Alex spent the next year and a half doing what he does best: adding meaningless feature after meaningless features.

Is wiring yourself your own money to pretend you get donations actually illegal?
Only if you try to claim it as actual donations for tax credit. Patreon income is only non-taxable if you're a registered charity, otherwise its personal income and you pay income taxes on every dollar that comes in, even if your just shoveling your income back around into it again. The government gets their pound of flesh from every transaction so they don't care if you want to fluff your ego, so long as you pay them.

Someone else could theoretically take him to court under the argument that high patreon numbers made them think that a project was well supported and therefore likely to succeed, so they supported it too and feel defrauded. But I don't think it'd survive the laugh test in court - There's multiple layers of terms of service and multiple warnings that patreon is a support method and not a storefront or an investment, so its extremely difficult to prove you were defrauded in [checks notes] supporting a developer who arguably does work on his project. You'd have to argue somewhere along the line that he's not working smart enough, and that's the kind of subjective thing courts don't like to touch with a ten foot pole. They're not in the business of scrutinizing the subjective quality of software updates. For better or worse, he's regularly updating and the updates are material to a layman, so he'd get a pass.

March 1 update (archive)
Hey! Got a new build for you – really curious to know what the reaction is going to be to this one.

3,314 days ago, I proposed an addition to the game. I implemented the most simple possible version of the feature, and never really revisited the idea. In this build, I’ve returned to that old concept, and implemented a “prototype” that represents an expanded version of the feature.

Just what am I talking about? To find out, scroll down past this absolutely precious artwork of Jokichi holding baby Ayano drawn by EDEL, and click Continue Reading!

Revisiting the Concept of a Small Town

Hey, remember a million billion trillion years ago, when I suggested the idea of adding a small town to Yandere Sim, and then I eventually decided “We don’t need a small town, because we can just put 10 stores onto one street”?

Well…

A new button prompt has been added to the “Exit Home” menu. I tucked it away in the bottom-right corner, because the feature it’s connected to is just a prototype for now.

If you press that button, and you’ll go tooooo…

A small town!

At this point in time, many of the buildings in the town environment are just solid-color cubes, most of the textures are temporary placeholders, etc. The main reason why the town was implemented was to answer a bunch of questions: “Does this even work? Does it feel meaningful? Does it tank the framerate? Is it fun to run around and explore? Just by playing it for 5 minutes, what quality-of-life improvements come to mind?” etc.

Currently, there are no new features or mechanics that are connected to the town; it’s just an alternate way to travel to school or travel to the shopping district. In its current state, it’s a “just for fun” feature that exists purely for…roleplay, I guess.

When it’s your first time in the town, you might feel a little lost. There are two ways to get your bearings:

  1. If you activate Yandere Vision, you’ll be able to see where the School, Home, and Stores are.
  2. If you press the spacebar (or Select button on controller) you’ll be able to see a map of the entire town environment, in addition to your current position in the environment. You can scroll around the map with WASD and zoom in/out with left ctrl and left shift. (LB and RB on controller.)
The town is huuuuuge, and running from one end to the other end takes a long time. You can use the + key on your keyboard to speed up time (and the – key to return time to normal) so that you can cross large distances faster.

You can also press certain keys on your keyboard to teleport around town:

1: Home
2: School
3: Shopping District
4: Center of Town
5: Far West
6: Far East

If you somehow get stuck – like, you fall through the ground or something – press one of the above 6 numbers to teleport out of there.

If this small town were to be fully implemented, the map would be expanded with additional functionality. An actual interface for fast-traveling directly to relevant locations, etc.

(Oh, and also, if the town actually does become an official feature, I would also absolutely love to bring back the bike, which was a core part of Yandere Simulator’s early identity.)

When thinking about utility that the small town could offer that a simple street couldn’t offer, I must confess that I come up with very few ideas. Something like “100 collectibles scattered around town for the player to collect” comes to mind, but if possible, I’d like to think of something much more meaningful. Do you have any suggestions?

(Just to make the town a little more exiting, I have hidden a kitten somewhere in the town. Can you find it?)

New Voice Lines

Amai’s Wednesday morning conversation with Senpai now has voice acting and animation!

Senpai’s “throw a can over his shoulder at the trash bin” event now has voice lines!

Improvements

Previously, it was only possible to dump a corpse from 2 specific locations on the school rooftop. This is because the “dump a corpse off the rooftop” feature used the same animation as placing a corpse into the incinerator, and the railing on the rooftop was higher than the incinerator, so I needed to create places on the rooftop where the railing was arbitrarily lower than elsewhere on the rooftop.

This was SUPER goofy, so I asked for a new “dumping corpse over railing” animation, and now it’s possible to dump a corpse off any railing anywhere on the rooftop!

(Bonus: the new animation is much faster than the previous one!)

Additions

Ayano’s home now has an additional family photo hanging on the wall, depicting Jokichi holding baby Ayano shortly after her birth.

Also, Supana Churu now has hair physics.

Adjustments

For the first time in over 10 years, I’ve made a modification to the way that laughing to recover sanity works. Sanity will now recover faster the more you mash the button. So instead of watching your sanity increase at a set rate, you now have control over that rate. Might seem like a very small QOL improvement, but to me, it’s a big deal to touch an aspect of the game that hasn’t changed at all in over a decade.

Also:

  • When the player puts on a raincoat, all club accessories are disabled, since they would clip through the raincoat in weird ways. However, one accessory doesn’t have this problem (the delinquent mask) so that accessory will now be active even when the player is wearing the raincoat.
  • The Journalist’s line-of-sight range is now just a biiiiit larger than it was before. Now, from the rightmost corner of the school gate, he can see you exiting the leftmost door of the school entrance.

Fixes

  • If the player eliminated a rival non-lethally (for example, matchmaking) and then kidnapped that rival on a future week, the game’s knowledge of that rival’s current state would not update. For example, the judge during the 1989 murder trial would think that the rival was matchmade instead of missing. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player walked into the counselor’s door at a very specific position and angle while using the “Visit Counselor” prompt, the player would “sit” outside of the counselor’s room instead of sitting inside of the counselor’s room when interacting with her. This bug has been fixed.
  • The player isn’t allowed to wear a towel and raincoat at the same time. If the player tried to put on a raincoat while wearing a towel, the error message for “You’re not allowed to wear a towel and gloves at the same time” would display. This bug has been fixed.
  • In the Alphabet Killer Challenge, if the player changed into a gym uniform, activated stealth camo, and then deactivated stealth camo, the player’s panties would become visible and would be worn over the player’s clothing. This bug has been fixed.
  • If a corpse was within 22 meters of the Journalist, he would psychically be aware of it, even if it was outside of his field of view (or in a classroom). This bug could ruin Alphabet Killer or Genocide Ending runs. This bug should now be fixed.
  • During the 1980s Mode tutorial, when the player was standing in front of the incinerator while holding Sumire’s corpse, if the player tilted the control stick, Sumire’s corpse would float forward, out of Ryoba’s hands. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player saved the game while Raibaru was crying over Osana’s corpse and then loaded that save, Raibaru would run in circles and not react properly to Osana’s corpse. This is no longer possible.
  • If the police were called to school while a bloody circular saw was inside of a bag, the circular saw’s 3D model would be invisible during the police investigation sequence. This bug has been fixed.
  • During Osana’s Thursday rooftop event, if the player dropped an item in front of Raibaru and then picked the item up, Raibaru would start walking in circles around Osana. This is no longer possible.
  • If the player saved and loaded during the Alphabet Killer Challenge, the “turn invisible” feature would make the protagonist turn solid white instead of turning invisible. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player practiced combat with the delinquents before Otohiko had arrived at school, existing the combat minigame would cause Otohiko to immediately spawn at school. This bug has been fixed.
  • On Friday of Amai’s week, if the player waited until after Amai’s cake event ended, saved the game, and then loaded the game, it would be impossible to sabotage the cake. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player joined the Cooking Club, made Octo-Dogs, saved, then loaded that save, it would be impossible to interact with the plate of Octo-Dogs. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player ran away from Fun Girl until the clock reached 6:00 PM, the day would end and the next day at school, all clubs would be closed. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player wore gloves, saved the game, loaded that save, killed a student, and removed the gloves, the gloves would turn solid white. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player murdered someone on the gym stage, the murder and the corpse would be invisible to anyone not standing on the gym stage. this bug has been fixed.
  • If the player used the Week Select menu to eliminate a rival via “Bullying,” a missing poster would appear at school for that student. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player killed a female student, saved, and loaded that save, the female student’s irises would disappear. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player saved the game before one of Amai’s events and then loaded that save, the event would not occur. This bug has been fixed.
  • The sci-fi device on Meka’s face (her “scanner”) was opaque, even though it was supposed to be transparent. This bug has been fixed.
  • Beruma Dinkuri’s glasses were 100% opaque at all times, instead of being transparent. This bug has been fixed.
  • Borupen and Enpitsu’s berets weren’t sitting on their heads correctly. These oversights have been corrected.
  • Osana’s short hair and Kuroko’s hair had tiny bald spots at the very top. These issues have been resolved.
  • Supana’s eyepatch was clipping into her face slightly. This oversight has been corrected.
  • In her student portrait, Sakyu’s wrong was on the wrong finger. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed errors in the subtitles for the delinquents’ tasks.
  • Fixed typos in Amai’s Tuesday morning subtitles.
  • Fixed typos in Amai’s Monday morning subtitles.
