Hello!
I’ve got an new build for you, along with an update on
that “Violent Criminal Organizations” situation. Scroll down past this illustration by
Seina-Chan for the details.
Restoration of Terminated Yandere Simulator YouTube Channels
I sent the YouTube Partner Manager a list of 21 channels that were terminated by YouTube for “Violent Criminal Organizations.” The policy team reviewed each channel individually, determined that all 21 terminations were in error, and restored each channel! That’s fantastic news!
While I was waiting for the Partner Manager to report back with a status update, I continued compiling a list of terminated channels. The next time we spoke, I gave him an updated list of 40 more wrongfully terminated channels. Two days ago, he informed me that 38 of those channels had been restored! (The other 2 were not restored because the people who sent me their channel URLs did not format the URL properly, so the policy team wasn’t able to investigate their channel.)
1 restoration, followed by 21 restorations, followed by 38 more restorations – if we don’t count the channels that were ignored because the URLs didn’t work, 60/60 channels have been restored so far – a 100% success rate!
You’d
think that once the YouTube Policy Team recognized that 60 channels had been terminated in error, they’d declare a code red, shut off their AI, change their review process, automatically scan their database for channels that were terminated for “Violent Criminal Organizations,” and restore all other channels that were impacted in the same way. You’d think they’d do
something; you think they’d do
anything.
However, I don’t have any good news to report in that regard. The Partner Manager has not informed me of any policy changes that should prevent this from happening again. It looks like it’s just going to keep happening. For example: merely 2 hours after getting her channel back, one YouTuber reported that 3 of her videos were deleted by YouTube! And, as of now, she states that 15 of her videos have been removed in total! Yikes! What is YouTube doing, exactly??
If you’re thinking, “Hey! I sent you my channel name and channel URL, too. Why wasn’t my channel unbanned??” Well, I’m extraordinarily busy. I’ll eventually get around to compiling a list that includes your channel and sending it to the Partner Manager. As always,
it depends on how many hours of my day are robbed from me by people creating unnecessary problems for me that don’t need to exist. All I can ask is that you please be patient while I gradually work through the dozens of e-mails I’ve received regarding this topic.
New Animations and Voice Lines for Amai
Once again, another one of Amai’s events has been updated with voice acting and animations. This time around, it’s the “sabotaged” variant of Amai’s Tuesday Lunchtime Event!

Shamefully, I must confess that I have not yet found the time to update the “sabotage apron” gameplay, so the dialogue in the event and the apron that comes out of the bag won’t make any sense. I really hope that I’ll be able to update that gameplay in the next build.
If you compare Senpai’s old dialogue to his new dialogue, you’ll notice that it has been changed significantly. Instead of Senpai reacting negatively to the apron, he awkwardly tries his best to
pretend he likes it. However, Amai is perceptive, and can sense that something is wrong. Senpai tries to lie and pretend that everything is okay, but eventually Amai squeezes his true feelings out of him, which leads to an embarrassing “Oh, crap, I screwed up” moment for Amai, while Senpai tries to console her and insist that nothing is wrong…but it’s too late, the damage is already done, and now Amai looks like someone who doesn’t listen when other people are talking.
Much better than Senpai reacting negatively to the apron and looking like a jerk!
Improvements
- Updated Ken’s “The teachers need to hear about this!” line with a voice line that sounds more appropriately urgent and panicked.
Fixes
- In Custom Mode, if the player designed a rival whose canon elimination method was “Freeze” but gave that rival “Invincible” strength, the player would be unable to push that rival into the freezer room, making that elimination method impossible to perform. (Same goes for the Iron Maiden elimination, too). This bug has been fixed.
- Sakyu Basu’s ring was on her middle finger in-game, but was on her ring finger in her official art. The position of the ring in-game has been updated to be consistent with the official art.
- After the game’s bookbag model got updated, the position of the bookbag changed slightly, so it stopped looking correct on the bullies’ shoulders. This bug has been fixed.
- In the “a policeman reviews security camera footage” scene, the policeman was walking in place instead of performing the correct animation. This bug has been fixed.
- The three cardboard boxes sitting outside of the science club were using the wrong model, which caused them to float in midair. This bug has been fixed.
- It is no longer possible to use the “Send Student Home” feature on a teacher, because they are not students.
- Kuroko’s glasses were permanently opaque, but they were supposed to be transparent. This bug has been fixed.
- Amai’s Tuesday lunchtime subtitles were not 100% accurate. They have been corrected.
- Fixed typos in Amai’s Tuesday morning subtitles.
Cameo
You might be thinking, “Huh? That’s it? That’s all you accomplished over the past 2 weeks?”
Yeah, I know, it’s not as much as usual. If you’re curious about that, I can shine a little bit of light on one of the reasons why…
In
a recent blog post, I mentioned that I had begun to take
Cameo requests. Throughout January, I only received one or two Cameo orders per day – sometimes none at all. But, over the past 2 weeks, that number skyrocketed – there was one day when I received
over 100 Cameo requests! I immediately recognized that I would have to set aside multiple hours every day over the course of a week to get through all of those orders. That is simply
not sustainable. Even though doing Cameo videos is fun, I absolutely can’t justify letting them eat all of the time that is supposed to be spent on Yandere Simulator. So, I increased my price from $10 to $20 to reduce the number of Cameo requests I was getting. After that, the number of new Cameo orders rolling in every day dropped to a much more manageable number.
As of now, I have done 318 cameos, and I am in 63rd place on the Cameo leaderboard!
Wowza! Thank you to everyone who requested a Cameo!
It’s possible that the only reason why I got such an absurdly high number of Cameo requests over the past 2 weeks is because the Cameo app was offering some kind of Valentine’s Day deal (over 50% of the Cameo orders I received were to wish somebody’s significant other a happy Valentine’s Day…) so, now that we’re past Valentine’s Day, I think that the number of Cameo requests I receive every day will drop sharply.
Oh, don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining.
“Boo hoo hoo, poor pitiful me, I have to take selfie videos and get paid for it, waaaaah pity me!” I’m just explaining to you why I wasn’t able to work on Yandere Simulator as much as usual over the past 2 weeks.
Oh, and I’m definitely
not trying to say,
“Don’t send me Cameo requests!! I hate it!!” I
love doing Cameo videos…I just wanted to explain the reason for the short changelog up above.
By the way…
I hope you haaaaad…

…a happy Valentine’s Day!!!
