Mega Rad Gun Thread

TISAS has severed their relationship with SDS so if you have a SDS TISAS gun you no longer have any warranty or parts support.

This is what happens when you buy a cheap foreign gun. I've seen lots of people get fucked by this kind of shit. Oh, your rossi broke? well we can't fix it any more because those are imported via a different importer now, Get fucked! no refunds!

at least most fails of a 1911 are easy to fix at home. anything major and you're hiring a gunsmith for a $400 dollar gun. best to just part it out.
I have a Tisas 1911. Their clone of the government model A1 is close enough to scratch the WW2 itch for me and it’s a (relatively speaking) well made pistol. I refuse to pay the boomer tax for a WW2 original Remington Rand or Colt so it’ll have to be good enough for me. But if it were to break, I’m really not concerned about getting spare parts for it. I’m sure I could make SOMETHING fit.

The most aesthetic aftermarket stocks is the old folding metal frame for the 870 (the SPAS12 we have at home). Too bad it’s so awful you never want to shoot it again.
I've never fired a shotgun with the older folding frame but I always assumed just by looking at them that they would be miserable to shoot,

That stock is ugly as shit…but I don’t hate it. Is the RDS mount RMR only or does it accept plates?
It is RMR only, although that wasn’t a big concern for me since I was already using that across everything but my Holosun SCS. One retarded perk of the setup is slapping a TLR with the laser desig on the top pic rail for quick hip fire fun on this so I don’t have to mess with my optic as is though. I eventually just threw the SRO on it.

My brother is big on having the ribbed foreend just like that. I was always a little meh on them, but definitely an aesthetic I can’t deny. I bet that thing is like half the weight haha.

Wonder if they’re planning on making a future model with a 1913 there.

They’re pretty much pointless but damn do they look cool.

Finally got all the stuff working right on my tx-22 after a bit of help from redneck buddy number 1. It's a trip, the first mag through is surprising how much muzzle rise there is and I can see no practical value whatsoever other than the giggle factor. On a related note does anyone know where you can get a threaded barrel for one because I am having a hard time locating one for the pawn shop special. Also if nobody makes a printed chassis that looks like mp7 we have at home there's a missed opportunity.

I used to own a police trade-in 870 with the folding stock. It looks awesome but it's the worst shooting experience ever. I don't miss it and I will never seek out another.

same reason i bought a chink SKS. look so gangster. I couldn't shoot the thing because the stock was of coursed sized for a chinese manlet. put a 1,000 rounds through it into trash piles and sold it on for $700 to some boomer on gunbroker.

Back when I bought my AK, SKS's were sub $400, and I'm still kinda mad I didn't pick one of those up back then, too.

Whatever, I guess I'll just be happy with my $600 Russian AK...

I remember seeing all the cheap saigas and veprs in stores but I wasn't old enough to buy guns until years after that age had ended. feels bad man
I ALMOST didn't get my Saiga, because "fuck that, it has no bayo lug and needs to be converted, gross", and had literally bought somebodies garbage AMD-65 "kit" build that was kludged together from a Romanian "G" kit on a Nodak Spud lower a few weeks prior. I put a few hundred rounds through it and it was starting to beat itself apart, so the store owner took it in trade straight up for a new in box Saiga 7.62. I wasn't that happy about it, but even then I knew "Well, it looks fucked up, but its an actual Russian AK, so fuck it, its probably fine."

I still have the box, lul.

I applied similar logic when I bought my Uzi Pro, because "Well, its not like the Jews are making or importing NEW ones, so I guess its either this mess for $1200, or a kit build for a similar price."

And then the Jews stopped importing those, too....

anything that the jews make you want you should buy. It's all military first and private market second. once a model becomes no longer viable for the military arms market it is discontinued. Its all the same for the big arms manufacturers. FN, Colt etc. outside of dedicated sporting lines its all at the whim of government contracts.

Missed the boat on Saiga 12’s and picked up a Chink clone JTS M12AK for not much of anything. It’s okay from the limited I’ve shot it. I’m sure at some point I’ll flip it for a profit.

My "someday" list of plans is to find a proper Uzi pistol lower so that I can use some of that massive stockpile of surplus Uzi magazines that are still out there.

On the bright side, stick mags are still plentiful for the Uzi pro, and cost less than Glock 33rnd mags, so its not really a priority thing, seeing as how I could just make a template from my Uzi pro mags and cut the mag catches into the surplus mags, if I wanted to.

Oddly enough, I've never been interested in a shotgun that wasn't just some simple pump for "huntin' deers" and such. I don't hunt, and when I do, I can get a pump shot gun to borrow easily, so I've never prioritized even owning one (a glaring hole in a personal collection, I suppose).

Now, when my Uncle decides to get rid of his Browning Auto 5... I'll probably try real hard to get that, as that's an awesome gun.

Alrighty my 617 Mountain Gun has arrived at my LGS (gonna get ASS FUCKED on price because it's a Lipseys exclusive sonny)

How should I inspect it short of bringing pins and gauges into the LGS to make semi sure I'm not getting a complete fucking lemon?

I'll be trading in my good to go traditional 617 in to help offset the cost.
