At least a baby show is for both sexes. MLP was meant for little girls only -- "Honor Roll" and other "bronies" unironically liked it.

If "Honor Roll" were beaten, it'd probably just make him even more delusional. Not to mention holding an undending deep grudge against whoever did it. At this point, seems the only thing which could fix him is some kinda brain surgery to cure him of being "Chris Chan"?

It's always been interesting how despite there being tons of series that came after the one that seems to hold the most popularity still is the first one, at least going by the merchandise over the now several decades since it's been a thing. They can't find a way to make new power rangers shit sell but god can they make money off the MMPR guys.

Playmates is doing the toy license. Hasbro apparently never wanted Power rangers, the CEO was a former executive for Bandai America who bought it off Saban for next to nothing, after he died they are stuck with a brand they don't want. They tried doing a movie, a Netflix movie, a paramount movie, a paramount TV show, now a Disney Plus, all Inckuse a female red ranger at the helm. They never letting this die, you'd think after 5 rehomes of a "cinematic universe" you'd drop the female red angle by now. It's a boys brand.

The issue is the autistic fanbase from 1993 still being fans of the show with alot of sway. Power Rangers needs its own pg era because the youngest power ranger fan is 18-25 years old, well the fans who's actually going to buy the merch. So we are stuck with the linkaras, the autists, Super casual who only watched mighty morphin to turbo and the "this fictional character would agree with me" fan demographic.
With a show that's almost evergreen that could cull & refurbish a fanbase on a yearly basis, you'd expect they wouldn't have such a disconnect between being a kids show yet have no kid fans. It's like MLP when adult men are the fans of a show meant for girls.
But I think power rangers mostly suffered from sentai being more accessible and sentai fans ended up growing a Meltzer like Mark phase about a Japanese kids show.

I was thinking about this the other day. Chris getting his ass beat when he did something very wrong was one thing he's never experienced. If Borb had whooped him, he definitely would have talked about it and it would have been much more traumatic than getting locked in a room full of toys.

First Ive ever heard of it either. Googled it and had to look past a bunch of Roger Rabbit (I had that movie on a Handmedown VHS) and JojoRabbit before finding a clip, and boy its bad... Rabbit goes from New Orleans up to Niagara Falls. Why couldnt Barb put PBS on after school so he could watch Carmen Sandiego instead?

I think it sounds right down Chris's alley per this review:

The only good thing I can say about it is that the animation looks somewhat competent
