I just poked at her in the AI boyfriend thread for wanting to ask her husband if it was OK. Sometimes mean love is the best way to get your point across.
 
Now that we know that Mr Styx senior is a convicted smex offender and attempted raipist, it is very likely that he is also the person who was found to be DLing CP from their home address (Shhtyx himself publicly admitted that someone from his home address was caught doing this in the past when he ranted about a.i. mistaking him for another resident), until proven otherwise. No idea when these offenses occurred, but the most likely scenario is that his father was convicted and then paid to have his public record expunged.

Idk man, it's ED fucking WARWICK. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. When Tarl said his dad is too stupid to even open a browser, I tend to believe him. Even Tarl can barely operate his equipment, and that's how he makes his living. Add in Ed being a Boomer and years and years of secondhand pot smoke from Pam, and I tend to think that Ed's not downloading much of anything by himself. He has to get someone else to show him how or just do it for him.

From my experience with elderly folks- this is the most likely side of Occam's razor. Only other possibility was hitting one of those typo domains or trying to watch "free movies", and getting hit with some malware that used the machine for nefarious purposes. That said, I kind of doubt Ed even cares about the Internet.

Most guys who have worked for a living get this stuff expunged from their public record to avoid potential employers, etc, from being able to bring it up in a search. I don't think he needs a 100 iq to pay some rent-a-ttorney to expunge it. People do it for weed convictions all the time.

@Dumbledore's Onlyfans is arguing that he wouldn't know how/where to download CSAM, not that he wouldn't know how to pay someone to expunge his record.
