I think the worst part of this last comic isn't actually the message.

It's that he actually drew a nearly decent bear for once, only to fuck it up on panel 2.

Y'know what though? Gonna go out on a limb and say that the Batman, even as simplistic, off-model, and halfassed as it is, is traced.

It just looks familiar to me, did the moment I saw the comic. I bet he was so lazy that he actually dug up someone's simplified Batman and did a quick flat line trace before using the fill bucket.

Surrogate Mothers exist, Dobs. And unless you want to do sub-light deep space colonization, I am pretty sure those will always be the better option to gestate your baby in a plastic bag.

Having problems accepting that there are different interpretations of a certain character and going on about that for years is pretty autistic... and I indeed mean 'autistic'.

Didn't know he disliked Batman as well. Is there any comic publication/series he actually likes? He hates all manga, constantly harps on mainstream American comics, and I can't recall a tweet where he ever praises a series. I'm at the point where I'd have a better answer to the old "if a tree falls in a forest" question.

And for all you smart asses out there who are going to say SYAC, Alex Ze Pirate, or any of his own comics, that doesn't count and you know it ;).

He likes Ranma, Urusei Yatsura, Detective Conan and the likes.
His tastes are incredibly mainstream and unremarkable, but his huge boner for Rumiko Takahashi becomes obvious when you look at his earlier -for lack of a better term- "style".

Did Dobbo say anything about Maison Ikkoku, which is more mature in tone and not as monkey-cheesy?

It's also that he's an uncompromisingly masculine character, a lot of his traits have been mimicked in more superficial characters so they blame him for all those tough rugged white guys running around. Failing to realize their were plenty of such figures beforehand and batman is ultimately a complex and tragic figure doomed to fail.
It's most likely never occurred to Dobson that Batman watched his parents die in front of him as a child and that everything about him is inability to come to terms with this.

This is Dobson we're talking about. We're still surprised that he's utterly incapable of understanding nuance and good characterization?

The only characterizations Dobson know are flat characters who never struggle or have obstacles to overcome. His characters only exist to be digital mouthpieces (especially thin Dobson and the blue bastard) to whatever inconveniences him.
