This would only be true if we get bogged down in Iran the same way Russia has in Ukraine. The US government and military thus far into the 21st century have proven themselves efficient processors of foreign governments though. Outside of that, China becomming more isolated as its global friends and allies get picked off one at a time only diminishes the likelihood of a Taiwan invasion.
