i imagine Vance is being set up to be like a Teddy Roosevelt type, people forget that part of Teddy's story is that he was too dangerous to the GOP so they gave him the VP slot, then Mckinley died, and Teddy changed the GOP and helped usher in the "progressive era" at least that's what public schools teach. i'd say its even easier for local elections because the voting base is so small that you can literally meet and talk to the person face to face. Every person on the school board leaves their personal phone number for people to contact and they have monthly meetings. even the state representative is pretty easy to talk to overall, there are places like ballotpedia and elsewhere that focus on state stuff to where you can expect to know their views very easily. depending on the state they'll sometimes go door to door by themselves asking people to vote.

As bad as shit has been in the Trump era, voter participation has surged, as has voter knowledge on average. AOC is a wonderful example of this, just the fact that people fucking pay attention to primaries is another great example.

However, this isn't because of the holy land, but rather because of the tribal mentality and the sense of belonging to a tribe rather than to a nation. A sense of nationality has poorly developed there.

China put tariffs on US coal, so they import less from the US, but yes, the US sells coal to China.

The oil aspect of Trump's actions in Iran isn't to cut China's energy supply but (in part) to reduce China and Iran's trade with each other, as Iran's selling oil to China provides significant revenue for Iran and an alternative source of oil (that isn't the US) for China. Cutting Iran's oil supply to China also reduces Chinese influence in Iran, which is part of the Trump admin's China/Iran strategy. China already produces a lot of its own energy and purchases a lot of oil from Russia, so it's not so much a loss to China's energy supply.

I'm wary of Trump health speculation because of that stint last year where everyone thought he was dead (god if only), but this does genuinely look bad. I would not be shocked if there was a Biden prostate cancer esque story that will bubble up in a few months.

A few years ago I was reading articles on The Occidental Observer and how more academics have been coming out questioning the narrative that Jews were 100% victims all the time. Post Holocaust, you simply were not allowed to question that narrative because you'd just create another shoah. However, as it turns out, Jews could go for centuries without being harassed once, and were only expelled for justified reasons such as coin clipping (England) and ritualistic murder (Italy, Saint Simon). There are old sources suggesting that the Jews of Angevin England (that's the book title) were a tiny minority, only a few thousand, yet controlled 1/4 of the wealth. It's a very old book and new scholarship exists, but there's a trend here. In the pogroms in Russia and Poland, they weren't solely caused by them waking up one day hating Jews, but by economic issues.

It cannot be stressed that American Jews have an insane amount of influence on American Israeli policy, and that is due to tribal loyalty. They aren't willing to live there, but they are willing to suck the US dry as Netanyahu once infamously said.

China can also just stop exporting the rare earth minerals and drones the US uses and its military prowess gets nipped in the ass. They're seeing how far the US will take it because they know as soon as they deplete their reserves - and they will, some sources suggest it'll take up to 1-2 weeks for the interception missiles to run dry - they'll annex Taiwan. They know the US can't win a land war with them and they'll be hit hard by the oil choke.

It's great how easily this fucking idiot can twist reality. The JCPOA was literally meant to stop this and normalize relations between the US and Iran, and it was working, up until Trump took office, tore it up and started engaging in brinksmanship against the Iranians for no fucking reason.

I can only really ascribe Trump reneging on the JCPOA as him doing it out of jealousy, Remember all those videos and tweets about how Obama was going to start a war with Iran because he's supposedly such a bad negotiator?

Trump prides himself on being a "master dealmaker" (which was bullshit lore invented by The Apprentice to try and market its reality TV show premise), so Obama proving him wrong and potentially securing decades-worth of peace between the US and Iran must've chapped his ass something fierce, which is why he always makes sure to brag about being the one to have terminated the deal.
