I can't fucking believe we're seeing an even dumber version of the War on Terror. People made fun of George W Bush for being a fucking space cadet failson, but American culture has been so thoroughly poisoned by the internet and the 24 hour news cycle over the past 20 years that Trump is actively rewarded for being dumber than Bush was.
The Bush Admin at least stuck to the bullshit WMD explanation, that's ONE excuse. The Trump Administration keeps pulling new excuses and justifications out of their asses:

Yeah, the Afghan war was legitimate. It was mishandled for sure, but going after the people harboring the terrorists that did 9/11 was legitimate. Iraq not so much, but fatty doesn't even have 9/11 as a reason

Not to mention who, that if they hate someone, they can fight like the Japanese in World War II, and Trump has led to this, because they are not Arabs, but Persians. He brought this about by bombing a school, where at least 150 children died. and they are going to fight very hard because this reason. Well, the war in Afghanistan was justified, was legal, the war in Iraq was not entirely justified and it was illegal and it led to conflict with many US allies, many allies criticized it, opposed it, boycotted it and did not participate in this war and it was a blatant violation of international law, but they went to some effort to justify it in some way that made sense and it made some sense, which is not the case here.

Well, the reason is that he has to help Bibi, because Bibi is his friend and that's it. And then there are nuclear weapons and missiles in coming in the near future that are supposedly capable of attacking the US (and Israel of course at the first place because we have to Make Israel Great Again because it is known that not USA because Israel is better and more important), but of course no one cares and nobody believe, and by attacking this country that supposedly wants nuclear weapons, based on what Trump did, according to public opinion, it would appear that this country wanted this weapon for a reason, and that it was so that the child murderer Netanyahu and the child rapist Trump would be afraid to attack and invade this country. Oh, and the real president of the USA is Benjamin Netanyahu and he gave the reason and that reason is October 7 which is the same as 9\11 because Israel is the US and the US is Israel and it is the same. And of course, Israel is the 51st state of the USA and that is where the capital of the USA is. Well, all this happened because I broke the agreement that Obama signed and that was working and after that I decapitated the enemy general, my mistake, but I have to fix it now.

If that happens, it makes the Vietnam War (which was basically the US taking on a French colonial war in Indochina against a part nationalist, part communist coalition) a model of legality and proportionality. Iran is an extraordinarily difficult and mountainous land. Unless a small force can somehow tie into a big domestic Iranian force (which doesn't exist for the mullahs aren't going to lose their nerve and flee like the Shah even if significant elements once supportive like bazaar merchants are hostile to them for now), this could be the disaster that defines Trump.
