Hasan giving any of them money for the lawsuit would come out during a deposition and he's not going to give Ethan any rope if he doesn't have to. He's almost certainly told them that he can't donate anything for those reasons, but would be glad to promote their funding campaigns for all that's worth. It does not matter at this point.
It just means that Ethan is allowing Denims, despite the case being stayed pending the resolution of the subpoena case, to motion for partial summary judgement on one of the counts of copyright infringement.

So all we know is right now that they are asking the court to allow this.
Once the actual motion if filed we will learn more about what the purpose is, and/or if they have come to some form of agreement.
