I tried to redraw it but cute things are hard.

Now to post it on Ebay and get my $200 worth.
I love your Sonichus because they are always so fucking creepy, but you need to steel-plate that heart.

I think the general consensus is that the bids on this are almost all fake and there is no way in hell Chris is going to get any money out of this. And I agree with that. However there's also another possibility. Advanced weenery would pay for the item, then complain when it arrives¹ that it was damaged by the seller², getting ebay / paypal to force a refund out of Chris leaving him with no money and no art. Of course the higher the fake bids go, the less likely that becomes, but also the less likely Chris will ever get paid.

¹ Assuming it actually does arrive, because Chris.
² Creased at the very least, but there are also issues with improperly shipping framed art, because glass.
They wouldn't sue. They'd send a C&D, Chris would shit himself, and then take everything down while surreptitiously continuing Sonichu in his own Lego-powered imagination.
This. And actually I would not be at all surprised if a ween prompted C&D is already in the works (or a ween-made fake C&D). Sending nasty letters is a small enough expense for IP holders (especially when they already have a stable of salaried lawyers) that's it's almost standard practice for any possibly infringing work that somehow manages to catch their attention, the reasoning being that if it's significant enough to pop up on the radar (they don't take weenery into consideration) , it's significant enough to send a quick letter.
And after this, I don't want anyone discussing him in this thread anymore because I'm not going to let him get the attention.
Well there goes half of this post. Good thing I try to read up on a whole new thread before hitting the reply button, because this post used to be a lot of "stop mentioning that twit by name".
Many people chipped in real money to buy Chris essential living supplies as well as a money order for him to buy whatever the hell he wanted, including Legos if he so wished.
It's even better than that. IIRC the money order had Barb's name on it in the hope that would give it a better chance to be spent on actual necessities. Because making sure he has necessities is what people actually concerned about Chris' well being do, not just ass pat him and give him toys he doesn't need.
If anything, some jackass (probably a forum lurker) tried to inject his own trolling plan into the mix by diverting the package using the public tracking number, and it almost didn't get there. Thankfully he got it and it was well-appreciated, which had succeeded the sole purpose of sending it out.
That's exactly what happened, thanks to some dodo brain accidentally leaking the tracking number. The care package being diverted had nothing to do with the forums, and some here were probably more pissed about it than Chris, especially the poor dodo brain who went above and beyond to make certain Chris got the package after all, despite being redirected by weens.
Maybe? I had a friend selling (high quality) MLP and Legend of Zelda themed hats on Etsy for a good while. Made a couple grand (over a large span of time) and was really small-time. Ended up getting a cease and desist letter, spooked him good so he quit. Could easily see that happening to Chris.
This. Especially with all the weens who are doubtless sending Sega and Nintendo friendly messages alerting them to the infringement.

Well....it's better than begging people to buy old broken damaged junk, but. . .this is probably going to backfire. It's not LEGAL for him to make money of Sonichu. Though, admittidly that is one of the better drawings he's made of the two. Kind of. A little bit..........meeeh....

Now that would be more like it. Instead of saying "this is what I fucking felt like drawing. you guys bid on it." he should be taking commissions.

I can tell you from experience that it won't work. A couple of weeks ago I asked Chris via eBay for a drawing of himself sitting on the Iron Throne with Alec at his mercy, and Chris didn't reply.

I hope whatever the outcome is, it doesn't deter Chris from selling his work on eBay. I want an original Chandler, I truly and honestly do.

Even copyright needn't be an issue. I'd pay $100 for a picture of Mayor Chandler fighting a Jerkop - $150 if the Jerkop is tearing his Attraction Sign

The problem Chris will have selling his stuff is that he will massively overprice it. The auction system on Ebay has the potential to solve this problem nicely. But it is much more susceptible to weening.

I wonder how sure he is that he is getting $550 for that drawing?

Can anyone explain to me what those flaps are on Sonichus back? Have they always been there and I've just been blind to it's character design all this time?

what i mean is that if he's really going to try this that's what he should do. that way he'd actually get paid because someone would actually want what he's doing. All that's going to happen here is the great ween-eBay circle jerk of 2014

Well well well, the little entrepreneur in Chris apparently wasn't completely dead yet.

It would be very easy to point and laugh at this... but I'm not going to. Not yet. If I did, it would be pretty hypocritical of me since that's what I've been saying he should do for a while now, although TBH I never actually thought he would actually show any initiative. So... gold star for Chris.

But... this is Chris. Either the winning bid is gonna be a fake account, or Chris will re-neg a legitimate deal. But let's say it is a legit deal and he does make some money on this. Do we honestly believe Chris is going to do the practical, responsible thing and buy groceries for himself and his mother, or is he gonna waste the large majority, if not all of it, on the Lego pile?

I'm going to wait for the second shoe to drop on this. If my guess is right, today being a Sunday... probably no later than Wednesday. If anyone needs me, I'll be on my lawnchair, throwing pennies at the weens.

When it comes down to it, there are some people who will pay a sum of money for a CWC drawing, this includes people buying it ironically, somebody who genuinely thinks a little bit of christory is worth a few bucks, and possibly one of the assorted asspatters (least likely) So yeah, CWC art is worth something.

The thing is, as per usual, Chris is vastly overestimating the value of something that he's selling, nobody's going to buy it now for $100, and any genuine bids will just be lost in a sea of troll bids, so literally the only way he's going to see a single red cent from his.... "art", is by setting a buy it now price at something sensible, say $15-20. He can either make less than he wants or nothing.

Now we all know he's never going to lower the price to something realistic, but the thing that makes this particular situation even sillier is that unlike a single item that's gone when sold, his drawings are not a finite resource, he doesn't need to try to squeeze the last penny from a single sale because he can draw as many of the damn things as he wants, all it costs him is a sheet of paper and a few minutes of his time. Hell, if he actually did what other online artists do and took commissions, then a few bucks are pretty much guaranteed.

So once again, we have a situation where Chris is faced with something that can genuinely be slightly beneficial to him, but surprise, surprise, his ego and idiocy are preventing any good from coming from it and resulting in only trolling. He may be fatter, long haired, moodier and even more repulsive that before, but this is still the real Christian Weston Chandler.

Never change Chris!

I'm pretty sure they're (poorly drawn) spikes, like Sonic has on his back/shoulders!
Oh darn, now I can't remember for the life of me whether Sonichu was ever consistently drawn with spikes on his back.

I can't wait for this to happen. The fantasy that Chris has concocted in his head for the past 15 years about Chris being a TRUE and HONEST original character is going to burst in an instant.

Just think. Somewhere, in some dark, forgotten corner, there's a Sonichu coloured in yellow-green because Chris couldn't find the yellow marker. (Or because it was tinged by brown or black. He's not the type to be careful with his yellow markers.)

Selling his art at this point is smart. I know I'm in the minority with that opinion. My bids are serious ones, but it's unfortunate that there are non-serious bids happening. It's not even that funny.
I have a left handed pencil if you're interested, or how about a tin of tartan paint? I'll even throw in an invisible lucky charm if you pay cash.
