The fish have acquired another staff radio, and once again it is in James Drake's hands.

JD trying to convince him to trade it for kratom for Vicky, because she's actively seething about how she isn't allowed to have it. Says that it is unfair it was taken from her, because everyone else was allowed to keep prescription drugs but she couldn't keep her kratom.
Is her shit prescribed or is she just a junkie?

what a nice guy james is. i feel for vicky. maybe im soft but, id do the same. opiate withdrawal is horrible. kratom WD is nearly just as bad
its very funny that she earlier coped that its a totally natural thing that's "basically medicine". i know many antidepressants and antipsychotics (and benzos for that matter) are not something you can just cut out cold turkey but you'd think perhaps being unable to go literally 10 hours without your funny plant dust should probably be a wakeup call that it's not something you should be taking with such a cavalier attitude.

fwiw kratom withdrawal can even be worse than opiate withdrawal depending on one's habits. I've heard stories of people taking ungodly amounts who had to seek pharmaceutical intervention to drop the habit.

Is her shit prescribed or is she just a junkie?
No, not prescribed. It's in a legal greyish area, it's sort of like the delta-8 equivalent of opiates. People tend to buy it from gas station/liquor store/online. It is extremely misrepresented as some sort of natural supplement but it's just drugs.

Kratom is not FDA approved and isn't prescribed in the US. It is over the counter. She's a seething addict.
Cheers, I haven't looked into it so I didn't know.

Then I don't feel bad for her shit being taken away, lol.

Kratom I don't think has ever been prescribed in the western world.

The "plain leaf" version of it isn't too terrible because it's basically like coffee/tea with 0.01% mitragynine by weight. Assuming you brew a bunch of it you're fine. If you eat 100 pills... different thing.

Also if Vicky was doing gas station pills instead of powdered leaf, the new 7oh shit is like... 1,000x more concentrated and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine binds to mu-opioid receptors (which are riddled through your brain, intestines, and immune system organs) VERY tightly... some say 10x stronger than morphine. It ususally won't kill you but it can and also detoxing from 7oh has been compared to stopping doing heroin.

Jet finally got a real job. :)

Anisa has been given the first job. She's going to be a bartender from the looks of it. She is working for tips and gets $7 at the end of the shift, per Jet.
