This was either the best or the second best day 1 of FT so far, the competition of course being S3 with Burt. A lot of fun stuff happened and we got a good read on all the fish right away.
I enjoyed the little twist they gave on the usual day 1 challenge by having it be ICE instead of RICE. That was kinda funny.
Bam is totally solid as a host, he has stories for days which I like. He's definitely not going to be as involved as Sam, and of course he's a completely different character than Sam. I'll miss Sam but Bam is fine and last night showed Sam doesn't have to be there for the show to be good.
No AI SFX...yet. Hope it stays that way. AI SFX sucks. Regular SFX is great. We NEED Hysterical Breakup back.
The first elimination being effectively voting (top stox fish gets to choose who to eliminate) is so fucking gay and shows Jet still hasn't learned his lesson from S3. This WILL result in one of the most entertaining fish getting kicked. Kill Jet. Rape Jet. Behead Jet.
As usual, some of the best content happens after I go to bed with my normie American bedtime.

I'm used to it now though, it is what it is toobz.
I do like the occasional cuts to production where Jet explains things or gives his thoughts, provided it doesn't interrupt real content. It's only a matter of time.
My thoughts on the contestants so far (in no particular order):
Bingo and Bongo: Some of my favorites this season, they're retarded but in an entertaining way. Them reading the instructions on camera for the detective job but still fucking up with the fine later on was great. When I first saw them enter the tank I thought it would be funny to handcuff them together so they HAVE to do everything together but they already kinda do. They've got potential if production can keep exploiting their penchant to wander around acting weird.
Victoria: Vicky sucks so bad in all the best ways for this show. She's a totally hopeless addict who can NOT handle being told no or being made fun of. She went on the show thinking she could hang out and get some fans and she's shown she will crack under pressure. Lots of Sylvia comparisons but Sylvia wasn't nearly this unstable. Vicky is a mentally ill junkie freak and if (and that's a big "if") they can string her along long enough she can print money. Right now she's easily the best TTS magnet because she crashes out every time they press her. There is a 0% chance she makes it the full 4 weeks. She will crash out and either quit or get kicked. One thing I appreciate about chat is how many Keno Kasino members there are, they pegged Vicky as a junkie the second they started going through her bag.
James Drake: This guy is whatever. He's some normie from Backstage, Ben really likes him but I don't see it. He's at best the first or second elimination in a subpar Big Brother season. I don't think he's got anything really valuable for Fishtank.
Bashir: The TTS abuse will drop off in the days to come as he's shown it doesn't really affect him (Vicky is a far more appealing TTS target right now), we'll see how he does long term. I'm not counting him out but I think his shtick will get old fast.
Charity: She's annoying but also likeable, she's easily the most extroverted fish, if she can handle the edginess of the show (some of her reactions to TTS last night made me question her longevity) I think she's got potential. Not a winner though.
JD: Boring. Nontent.
Emma: BORING. NONTENT. We already have people in chat treating her like Ellie as Potential Contestant. SHE'S GONNA GET WILD ANY DAY NOW. SHE'S BIDING HER TIME. Wrong twice more, stalker. Emma is BORING, NONTENT.
Bezo: He impressed me with his pressing of Bashir last night. He's still a fag though and from what I saw last night's SWAT was related to him. His enemies tried what Skull Hyde failed to.
Anissa: I almost forgot she was on the show. I'm not gonna totally count her out because she's less like wallpaper than Emma but she hasn't impressed me yet.
Landon: I like him. He's very autistic but in an endearing way. He might be impervious to social manipulation too.
Not a bad day 1 at all, we'll see where it goes.
