Its a Jager AP74, a blowback .32 in an m16ish shell, you can see the smaller .32 magazine poking out the bottom of the dummy m16 mag.

The more normal M16 lookalikes were used as stand ins for actual M16s in a lot of low budget and euro movies, such as Dawn of the Dead. The only other movie I know that uses this specific model is the '87 Man on Fire, its only seen in the background though .
Thanks! Did you recognize it by just looking at it?
IMFDB is the best site to find out what a gun in a movie is. I've yet to have it fail me.
I always check IMFDB first, but that movie wasn't listed there.

I don't recall the exact round count but it is at least 10,000 rounds without cleaning.

Can anyone ID this AMR In use with Ethiopian Fano militiamen?
Found it, relatively obscure Chinese model, HSARI LR2

It is for some reason upward locking, bolt must be extremely short, wonder if it's striker or hammer fired (internet says hammer fired but who knows)

Geissele and the Army are working on super barrels made out of an Alloy called GNB-200

Now they didn't explicitly state it but it sure sounds to me that the Army is looking at switching up their orders from M7 to M8

TFB TV's video on the new Sig M8. James Reeves was quite silk gloves with the Sig representative which wasn't surprising, he got all the Sig talking points in without any real pushback.

The SIG rep probably sucked him off and donated to his law practice.

Remember kids, TFBTV is a guntoober influencer whose bought and fucking paid for (like 99% of them)

Oh and the new M8 has a lightened (tapered) barrel and a shorter (less effective) suppressor.

It's going to burn though it's barrel at 3k rounds easy and it'll be louder supressed than a M4A1 is unsuppressed.

Oh but hey, you get a 25 round magazine now that's bigger and heavier than a PMAG Gen 3 wooooo. Now you're only down 40 rounds from your M4A1 combat load out.

What a FUCKING JOKE.

Watching this reminded me of when Brass Facts did their M7 video, they basically at the same time called out TFBTV for being SIG shills, but also thanking them for the access to the gun and most importantly the ammo used.

It is understandable that if you are a big name website with industry contacts that you end up being in the pocket of the industry, that is what you pay for the access and to make your content. But at least try to politely do some pushback so that you don't look like a full goober sitting there and allowing the rep to do their full presentation. But it is what it is, thankfully we have all these non-affiliated guntubers that actually go and call out all these issues.

the days of Jack O'connor, skeeter skelton and Elmer Kieth are long gone. What writer or guntuber has enough pull that the industry will listen to them vs the industry telling them what to say.

That AK handguard in the Russian suppressor video is kinda weird looking, any info on it? Looks like a space rifle from some sci-fi movie.

In slightly related news B&T AG and B&T USA are suing eachother:
7437.jpg
B&T USA is also wrapped up in the Larry Vickers import violation criminal case.
7441.jpg
B&T AG(Switzerland) are telling customers that they terminated the license agreement with B&T USA.
7443.png
B&T USA's reddit rep is in full damage control mode. Looks like they're missing a bunch of parts to complete guns ordered a year ago.

Doesn't look good for B&T USA. They own their own printers for the Print-X suppessors, but rely on other companies (mostly B&T AG) to send them parts and firearms. James' X account and the BT_APC subreddit have a bunch more information if you're interested.

Government contracts trump whatever the public audience has to say about the issues. That said, I do believe that public media be it writers or guntubers can have an effect on how firearms are seen or how the reputation of the companies go. The effect might not be immediate, but with enough voices in the mix, we will see the overall opinion changing. Like see the comments to the TFBTVs SIG video, I had to scroll quite long time till first half-neutral comment could be spotted.

So while we don't have that one definite voice in the firearms industry that everyone listens to and whose opinion is the Right and True™, we do have all these various voices with their own backgrounds and expertises. And when taking their opinions on whatever the hot issue of the day is and putting them together, one can find what the overall consensus happens to be. Like for example Henry of 9-Hole Reviews looked at the M7 from his own background and went through the ammunition logistics issues the whole program might be facing. Or in the Brass Facts video I mentioned earlier, a clip of Chuck Pressburg saying the bulk of magazines already being a problem and this gun makes everything even more bigger of an issue. Would a single guntuber/writer be able to raise all these points? Probably not, but that is why it is good that we have the variety of voices in the mix.

It’s stating to get shady in my neck of the woods. So, now is the time to apply for a CCL so I could LEGALLY carry and defend myself if need be. The legal system loves to make it harder for victims and citizens than criminals.

Follow-up to my previous B&T post, James Reeves is attempting to insert himself between the two for interviews:
7447.jpg
https://archive.is/Pt0o6 https://www.reddit.com/r/bruggertho...e_questions_for_ubtusa_regarding_the_present/as of time of posting B&T USA has not publicly responded to James
7450.jpg7451.jpg
He also posted this statement regarding the termination from Karl Brugger's industry newsletter:
7453.jpg
Important to note none of this appears to be caused by the Iran war as some have speculated. It started at least as far back as last year and culminated in the termination letter around week before the war started.

Aside from importing B&T AG parts/final products B&T USA is the oem for a bunch of 3d printed suppressors(PSA's Sabre suppressors for example, are "Powered by B&T"). If they go belly up it could affect a significant part of the industry. Will they stay solvent? Was it a good idea to name a 20 something female ASU business admin major with no previous work history ,VP, and now president of the company? Maybe Mr. Reeves will get them in a room to tell their side? Probably not but I'm sure he'll keep whoring out for Sig in the meantime.
