I liked productions early stance on trying to stick to a ruleset come hell or high water but walking it back so quickly recently feels like the beginning of a collapse, potentially.
They had this conception that rules help with motivations for Fish, then it seems they are throwing that out for short term content and appear to be less and less considerate of the bigger picture, or even plans more than a few hours ahead.
It is still good, but now they have decided to be firmly in the 'do this because we said so' rather than a 'do this because it is the framework we are all operating under' so it remains to be seen if Fish end up just frustrated and feeling impotent if things become more and more arbitrary and nonsensical.

I think it is equally inflicted. Often times is encouraged by protection or TTS because it's entertaining at first, but production takes no responsibility when it goes too far, and their response makes it much worse.

Bash is obviously quite good at manipulating the fish, he manipulated them out of The Cell so he could win, and that's gonna be his game this season. It's clearly a bit. During The Cell when Landon & Jet were going at each other, Mints or whoever posts the pop-up messages on Fishtank.live was dropping messages asking the audience something to the effect "do you guys like the Landon v Production bit or does it feel too forced & fake?" Landon isn't actually that bothered by production, is playing it up for the show for entertainment value & has been encouraged to do it by production themselves. I'm a pretty casual watcher but even I picked up on all of this. If you think they're annoyed by Landon who is consistently entertaining, creates content for them, & is loved by most the audience....I'd say you're probably being worked.
