I'm with Wendi in saying it's a pretty good first draft. Definitely a lot of easy ways to improve it, mostly just trimming it down, especially all the pointless satanist stuff, just dark web drug vendors selling drugs with malicious intent is plenty of spoop for me. Tying it into the autojektor and related experiments would have been fine, not necessarily the autojektor itself but building on Brukohenko and Demikhov's experiments is a fun idea. Is this the first story they've covered that started off bad and course corrected? Usually it's the other way around which is always fun. I guess it's easier to lop off or redo the beginning of a story, especially a horror story, if it's not working, while coming up with a good way to end it is the much harder part

One of the few ones that starts out terrible but starts to sorta salvage it by the end. Could be taken in lots of different directions, but I'd like it if it were rewritten to lean more into the narrator being a smug/naive unlikeable loser deciding to become a "Psychonaut" and then finding out the negative stuff as it progresses. Basically, I want it to be a version of:

I understand what that "landshark" dude is trying to say, but holy fuck, he talks like a fag.

Anyway, the story wasn't too bad, but after how good the last one was with the Jap stories, this feels like going in the wrong direction.
 
Might be biased since I listened to this one before, long ago, but I think they're being unnecessarily mean to this story. Could be worse. Much worse. Even worse: the story is clearly not taking itself that seriously. And it's so well written there's no way the author didn't include all those extremely obvious details on purpose. If not as sarcasm or parody, then clearly to misdirect the reader.

Even as they glaze faux high brow stories until they shine like chrome, deep down they are still the same illiterate youtubers as they always have been.
 
The fact that they make like 80 grand a month on Creepcast alone (just the Patreon this doesn’t even include ad revenue) and yet still do brand deal advertisements Hunter has zero interest in doing is insane. He clearly resents having to do it so why? How much money do you need?

Usually I wouldn't mind it but 3 ads is fucking pushing it, I was cooking my lunch for tomorrow and having to stop to skip the ads 3 times was frustrating

I don't think any youtuber actually likes doing ad reads. But it is easy money for very little work, and Meat is lazy as shit so he just does the bare minimum and collects the check. I wish more youtubers would just treat the ad section like a shitpost like Reggie or Seth just to keep it somewhat interesting.

It's really annoying when Meat or Wendi end a sponsor read with "and now let's get back to the story," only to immediately play another ad.
 
If you're audience is paying you a middle class salary every month and you still make them listen to ad reads you fucking suck. And there is little overhead cost to the show. It's paying an editor and that's it. It's not some high production thing.

I absolutely love when Hunter starts ragging on Wendi for getting too hyped over these stories. The way he cooms for some of this stuff is so over the top

That's what gets me. With Meat it's whatever, he occasionally has a high effort video where he makes use of a bunch of costumes and shit, and all the puppets. That's expensive work. Goon and Creepcast is just sitting in front of a screen and talking.
 
Talking on people waking up from comas, midway through and nothing really interesting. The one thing that irked me is quoting a study on "non realism in coma patients in media" that I can almost guarantee is made to convince the family of coma patients to pull out the plug to save the country money, rather than trying to dispel disinformation.
 
Necrosleep is frustrating because the premise is a good idea for a Creepypasta. A drug you get through the black market online that makes you ultra productive and never have to sleep is very interesting and also parallels real life with research chemical stimulants people have gone insane from. The execution on the other hand is pretty damn bad. The Satanic shit has zero reason to be in there. It adds nothing to the story. The best part of the Pasta is him losing his mind slowly and journaling it to us. I feel like this story could easily be rewritten into something much better if you took out the Satan crap, rewrote Reed as a character and fleshed him out and gave him real motivations for wanting the pills it could be great.

Personally, I like Flashgitz ads best, those ones are actually kinda entertaining.

I think he's semi-retired. He has a micro-podcast (usually 20-30m episodes) that he does roughly every two months called Incognito Mode but that's all I've seen from him. It does pretty well, most episodes get 1-2m views, the only one I see that doesn't have a million views is a censored reupload and it still has 600k

He posts extremely infrequently, that's all. Last upload was to his Incognito Mode channel 2 months ago and that was an Expleened about the Indiana Jones game. I'm still waiting on Jontron to upload again.

I always see ideas like this and immediately think of the physical issues. Your body needs sleep to recover. At some point your body will physically shut down even if you're wired and "fine" mentally. So you'd just be in some fucked form of locked-in syndrome.
