Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

Didnt he flip out because of himself in the end, setting up a loop of his own stupidity and losing his own job?

Yeah, they just nonchalantly mention that too much time travel fries your brain (since when?). And of course it’s because Braxton keeps popping back into Janeway's life like some IRS agent auditing your timeline over and over.

Then the more sane Jay Karnes takes the captain’s chair, and Braxton ends up in a loony bin. He’s just the VOY version of a paranoid admiral who's been snorting lines.

If they had ever done a proper and full Temporal Cold War series I could see Braxton being a guy against team Federation purely to get revenge on Janeway

If he'd stuck with the TEC instead of joining Starfleet, he'd have been fine.

They haven't been doing it right in the 2800s. Slingshooting around the sun at Warp >9.8 never produced temporal psychosis in anyone that did it. Braxton is a retard, qed.
I like to assume it's not the time travel itself, but screwing up cause and effect so repeatedly just causes the brain to snap.

"Release the Snyder Cut” only it's 10 more seasons of Daniels' bubble butt in that suit.

The actual villains are these Sphere Builder assholes whose plan is We want to conquer the Federation … so first we blow up Earth in the past. Why are they outsourcing the plan to a bunch of Xindi that hate each other?

1000131351.jpg

They're supposed to be ascended beings, right? Like Anubis from SG-1? Except instead of having a clear goal, these guys are like “uhh yeah can you guys form a committee and maybe build me a big orb or whatever"

Captain "BORN TO DIE. LIFE IS A FUCK. KILL EM ALL. I AM CASTRO STREET HOBO MAN. DEATH TO VOYAGER AND ESPECIALLY JANEWAY!" Braxton

Why send your own people to possibly die and get your extradimensional mitts dirty when you can send in disposable pawns like the Xindi or Braxton to die for you?
I always figured it was because the future Federation was very much keeping an eye on the timeline shit and if the Sphere Builders started doing a lot of shit theyd take notice and do the same to stop it, hence cold war

Even with that in mind... Braxton is a retard. Daniels never croaked under temporal psychosis, and the dude probably takes his lunch in 1950 Marseille every fucking day.

The sphere builders are also retarded? Imagine my socks. The only intelligent time travelling bullshit artists are the Na'kuhl. They knew exactly what they were doing when they teamed up with the Nazis.

I really wish we had a series about the USS Enterprise J. That big Universe Class that was at the battle of Procyon 5
The Star Trek Online temporal cold war game arc culminates in a mission where your character time travels to actually fight in the battle and board the Enterprise J to fight off time traveling Terran Empire shenanigans.

It's dumb, of course, but is amusing for having Walter Koening and Chris Doohan (James Doohan's son) doing voice work as time traveling Checkoff and Scotty.

Ill take that since Nu Trek would do a far worse job of it. Star Trek has always been at least a little dumb

Hey @Curzon Dax-sama, you’ve got a way better memory than I do, remind me: were the Na’kuhl another faction in the Temporal Cold War, or were they a different time-travel mob with their own agenda?

For sure. DS9 had some excellent episodes like "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night," but it also had some goofy shit like "Allamaraine." Personally, I thought the dumbest DS9 episode of all was "Change of Heart." Starfleet has some retarded policies, like not having security cameras on the bridge of its flagship, but sending a married couple on a covert mission where one might have to sacrifice the other was profoundly dumb writing.

They were on the side of the Sphere Builders, they were one aspect of that whole agenda to prevent the Federation from ever forming

The Na'kuhl definately had subagendas in that whole ordeal but they wanted the Federation to not exist in the future they came from just like the Sphere builders.
I guess you could think of it as another iron in the fire the Sphere builders had to have more avenues for victory without being directly involved

The Temporal Cold War was gay and retarded and no writer could ever save it. If Enterprise kept going they would have involved David Tennant's Doctor. Would you really want the massive faggot Russel T Davis writing Star Trek? Don't @ me, you know I'm right.

So the aliens from "Storm Front" are like a backup plan for the sphere builders.

If the giant Christmas ornament doesn't blow up Earth, reinstall Hitler. And then Archer blows up the time gizmo and history fixes itself. Daniels shows up at the end going, “grats, you saved time."

I like this Nazi officer who keeps giving the grey skins the side-eye, “hey are we sure trusting the Putties from Power Rangers is a good move?"

1000131385.jpg

That guy is played by Christopher Neame who also interrogated Sinclair in that Babylon 5 episode.
