Who's To Say What's Right These Days (The Simpsons)

Isn't it kind of funny how Bart and Lisa are typically depicted as evenly matched physically despite the sex and 2 year age gap? Bart must be weak as shit or Lisa must have some superhuman strength.

I don't care for the blatant feminist propaganda BUT the show has done a lot to normalize child strangulation which I appreciate

They didn’t fully account for the 360’s mushy D-Pad for that minigame. There’s a massive difficulty spike right before meeting God with Benjamin Franklin as well.

Anyway, one tip I have is to not press both directions at once, rather do them one RIGHT after the other. The timing may take some getting used to when the characters come down the screen, but it isn’t too hard. If you mess up, just mash the D-Pad until you fail to start over.
That was the worst level in that game. Beat it again a few years ago.

One episode that definitely gets me teary eyed would be Lisa’s Substitute.

Mr. Bergstrom was plenty confident and passionate as a substitute teacher. Giving Lisa self worth while connecting with her in the same mind has an important message.

I cannot watch the ending without crying. When a Mr. Bergstrom comes and goes in your life and you have nobody to fulfill that purpose, it does feel defeating. Homer’s rebound from his callousness towards Lisa and feeling good about being a family man was something I missed too.

I miss when The Simpsons was able to be funny, heartwarming and real at once.

"Bart Get's An F" was always the sadder to me. Maybe because I did so bad in the 4th grade.

I had a Mr. Bergstorm in my life, so that episode did bring back some good (and bad) memories when I was attending college. Still, I did have a soft spot from Homer. He messed up, he felt remorse, he tried to understand and reconciled with his children.

Modern Simpsons would've just had that as a gag if that and move on. Actually, Family Guy did that regarding Meg and her family.

Nothing gets resolved, nobody learns anything, everything goes back to the status quo. Gross.

Same, but for me it was freshman year. Life at home was shit and I struggling really hard with English. Nobody cared besides my hard English teacher ironically enough.

Later came out that a few teachers were aware of my family situation

What about the one where Bart steals a video game and Marge doesnt't like him anymore😭

I found Bart get's an F hard to watch at parts because it's so sad. Especially near the end of that episode. That being said I have a soft spot for seasons 1 & 2 in general they don't get as much attention as they deserve.

I saw the first 20 minutes of The Simpsons Movie the other day.

I had heard it was bad, but goddamn, that was painful.

I can imagine being elated as a Simpsons fan that there's a point-and-click Virtual Springfield computer game filled with references from the (then) eight seasons of The Simpsons. No platforming, no unfair challenge, no gimmicks, just potential hours of discovering gags, animation, landmarks, and interactions. All of this from the late 90s to boot, amazing.
