Peacock series is really stupid and creates a ton of plotholes with the new characters it introduces.

Although, funnily enough, the pilot movie opens with Megamind's Minion announcing that he changed his name to Chum because of a cease and desist order from a fast food chain in-universe, and to avoid comparisons to Despicable Me's Minions out of universe.
