That I can get behind or as @Kugelsak Kastengrus 6th said it's the "asshole tax". Basically overcharging him for what normally would be a $2000 experience. Which is still not worth it.

They may have structured their courts this way for reasons like this. Having every bum that gets evicted appealing the decision all the way to the state supreme court would be a waste of time and resources. They can't completely stop retards like Greer from trying, but they can toss it very early on in the process.

Not really. Things like the Justice Court, which are there to expressly handle small local matters deliberately do not have a path to turn every traffic offense or failure to pay rent into an issue appealed to the states highest court. It's firewalled at the District Court level. This is to prevent things like Greer from clogging up the State Courts. State Courts really are much better at dealing with bullshit than the Federal Courts.
